Wow! Was looking for another video from a great videographer (JP Videos), but this, with the music is astounding. I like how (what appears to be) the surrounding roads were shown also. Beautiful video.
@@GroundPilotImages - Yeah! Probably one of the best "stumbles" I've made! I'm glad I subscribed! I look forward to seeing other stuff you've done. Centralia has always seemed to have been fascinating for me though (maybe b/c I was alive then but a lot shorter in stature than I am now). Beautiful though. I look forward to seeing some more of your stuff!
I have taken a little bit of a break from this but now that warmer weather is back, if I can get out one of these weekends it doesn’t rain I would like to continue making more videos. The Centralia incident happened a little before my time but I do remember going through there as a kid and again in the early 2000’s there were many more houses still standing, and quite a few that were abandoned. Thank you for subscribing and I will try to make some more interesting content in the very near future.
@@GroundPilotImages Yeah, this weather has been very disappointing for my friends who depend on sunshine. This quick flash of sunshine has made them very happy. We're in the Albany, NY area that's probably the sunniest part of NY state. I look forward to seeing what you have next. Nice work.
It's a place I've been wanting to see for a long time. I'm fascinated by places that once was claimed by man only to be claimed by nature again and to see what those places are like once we're not in control.
I love abandoned places too for pretty much the same reason. I am taking a trip next month to an abandoned place and will hopefully have a video posted by early November.
But immortalized too as an inspiration for the Silent Hill video game series. I lived in that region for a few years, went through that town and intersection many times. On the other side of that mountain, I hit a hawk that flew in front of my S10. If it is raining and cold out, you can see steam come out of the ground of the cemetery. It is really creepy seeing that.
Why was this not perserved for historical setting for Pennsylvania. He could made money or been given money by the state. Sad one man's decision to take away the history of that state. Thanks for vid, least we can archive this..
Update today on the news.. This is in the process of being NO MORE.. Property owners are trucking in tons of dirt to cover ot and plant grass and trees
This MUST be preserved by the historical society of PA
Just the man taking away the fun.
It was dumb ass new yorkers showing up and littraly blowing up the spot with sticks of dynamite that ruined the spot
great drone shots and music to go with it. big thumbs up
journey_with _jay Thank you!
How to get to centralia

Carol E Merritt thank you. I am glad you stumbled across my video and enjoyed it. JP Videos is a great channel.

Very cool video! I'm going in less than a month and I can't wait!
That's awesome! Glad you liked the video. Centralia is a very cool place but not as eerie as people make it out to be.

Cool! I'll keep an eye out for it!
very sadden about what happened to centralia and the sad part about it is this could've been avoided and now centralia is just a haunted memory.

Amazing drone shots
I was just there 04/28/22. The piles if dirt that are now covering the road, does nothing to deter people. Its more like an ATV park, really. 🤷🏻♂️
I believe that we could fix the once lovely town
Can someone tell me the story behind this? I'm from Greece i have no idea. Or give me a link to read about this
SAY GOODBYE TO THE HIGHWAY, IT IS BEING COVERED IN ROCK/DIRT TODAY

If people were starting bonfires or crashing ATVs in your back yard, what would you do?
Was there yesterday, all covered in dirt now.
Cidade dos meus sonhos para morar!!

What happened?
There goes the SYSTEM AGAIN ALWAYS REMOVING THINGS THAT PEOPLE LOVE.
The land was privately owned. Not sure about the system being involved here.
@@bobbyanspach1317 Insurance purposes. Afraid of people getting hurt and being sued. Is what the owner said. The SYSTEM 😉😉😉
