I had no clue people hated Bo2 zombies. I loved transit when it came out. I also was too young to understand the story behind zombies, and I just loved the bus lol
I think transit does have its many MANY problems, but even some of the "worst" maps can be fun, also we all know that there are much worse maps in much worse games So I really do somewhat agree with you
Bo2 multiplayer is goat. Bo1 story is goat Bo3 zombies is goat The black ops trilogy will never been topped, much less matched. And i wish that werent true.
Personally i think bo3 zombies has too much going on. I really like bo1 zombies and maps like town on bo2 cause they Are simple and you can do high ish rounds without having to do a full line of events and things before you can "play" so to speak just My opinion though also I felt like gobblegums felt like too much help
@TrickzTime I feel you. It's the Easter eggs for me. High rounds is repetitive. I suppose running Easter eggs can be repetitive too but trying to complete a challenging one you've never finished before is the ultimate goal that keeps me going. Especially on maps with good rewards or that end game cuz then I get to feel accomplished by getting that end game screen rather than the failure end that happens in most maps and zombies games
Yeah, it was 'meh'. Jimmy Z - remember this guy? - lost his marbles. His ideas got too big, it dragged him down. So later Jason and Craige could take over... Untill you know what happened.
IDK man, I remember Die rise being well received when it came out because it was at least better than Tranzit, and Mob of the dead wasnt well received when it came out, everyone I knew or played with said it was too confusing and difficult and it was always the map with the least amount of players on it. people like it nowdays, the map aged well but back when it came out nobody I played with ever wanted to play it, they all hopped on Town or Nuke town. But thats just my experience, I cant really speak for the whole community
I remember Mob of the Dead being very well received but maybe it’s due to the fact that back then i only followed stuff in my first language. I also remember Nuketown zombie being free for Day One buyers
now bro yall gotta admit that the raygun, pack a punch, the perk mashines and nuketown look like they came out from the same model pack, they all got that 50's aesthetic while everything else is different
Despite all the online hatred for tranzit it still never got that unanimous hatred like with der anfang. It can still be an enjoyable time but modt players cant be bothered to learn the map, a similar scenario could be said for ZNS and tranzit was still my favorite map for pubs. Tranzit enjoyers rise up
During the life cycle of Blops 2, I loved multiplayer and campaign (thought they were the best and still are) but with zombies I hated Transit, Mob and origins while liking the rest of the maps but not thinking they were as good as Blops or Waw. Now, I feel the same way about campaign and multiplayer but with zombies, zombies on Blops 2 is the best iteration imo. The only exception is origins which I still hate. Now tho, transit is one of my favorite maps of all time. My opinions have greatly changed and now I feel zombies is the best on Blops 2 but Blops 1 is a close second place. I love Blops 2 and think it's the most perfect call of duty game.
This channel is amazing. I wasn’t there to experience B02 first day but I played it later and it was amazing. I like to look at videos detailing how it was before and this channel does that spectacularly. Thank you Drrpy. You deserve so much more. This channel will get the love it deserves I know it!
I remember being a kid when bo2 came out. A lot of my memories of this game are either from die rise or mob of the dead. Tranzit was ok, but I didn't enjoy it much personally. Overall, this game was good and im glad i got the chance to be a part of history in a way
Man i remember playing all of these maps on launch when i was 13. Time flies i was mind blown when i first played mob & origins. Buried was awesome too but something about mob & origins just hit different.
Town was literally the only map I would play on BO2 until Mob came out lol. I vividly remember my friend all excited and telling me that zombies was actually good again when MOTD dropped. It’s funny cause everyone praises BO2, and don’t get me wrong I enjoyed it, but I preferred MW3 multiplayer and BO1 zombies so I really didn’t play the game that much.
Don’t care What you say! Die rise and Tranzit are way more fun and re-playable than any map that has come out the last 10 years! Sure Tranzit should have changed a handful of things. But is still more fun than most Maps!
My favorite thing about TranZit is the history of its development and how much they cut from it. Like imagine if it they decided to remaster it today and add everything it didn’t have to it.
I remember die rise being hype, I enjoyed it so much and so did my friends. I remember the UA-cam community liking it. I guess everyone’s experience was different.
Relating to the intro, some people always put bo1 as their second favourite zombies game after bo3. I think the the reason it gets this spot for many people despite its deserved recent criticisms for being dated is probably because it had zombies chronicles 0.5 with the waw remakes. I think that contributes a lot to its legacy and kind of by default gives it so much more extra game that bo2 for a lot of people simply couldn't keep up. Especially considering that game's mediocre first half.
The only thing i honestly hate about nuketown zombies is that your luck is unpredictable with the perk spawns sometimes you would have to wait until round fucking 30 for pack a punch or jugg to spawn.
I personally loved every single zombies map in bo2 despite tranzit and die rise flaws. Regardless i still had fun playing it. And im a big fan of survival maps. Besides even though i didnt play bo2 back in 2013 the fact that zombies DLC got better than worse says a lot Edit: Also multiplayer is the best in Franchise and the campaign was also THE BEST in my personal opinion
Tranzit might be the worst map for solo, but on 4 person co op, it is hands down one of the best with friends. Nuketown having randomized perks was a fun feature cause it actually added a challenge to the bare bone survival map. And die rise's only problem was the color pallet and having to wait for the elevators, but it has one of the most powerful wonder weapons ever while still being fun to use (apothican servant is not a fun wonder weapon I hate it)
Blac Ops 2 is my favourite COD, but I take DLC content in to consideration when I rank the games. If you give me BO2 without the DLC packs, then BO1, BO3 and BO4 absolutely destroy it. BO2's Campaign is great but like all of them, it gets old. The Multiplayer is still great, but as a Zombies player, there's no way I can go long with just Tranzit and Nuketown. Most Zombies players ditched BO2 really quickly, and it took 6 months before Mob of the Dead came out and actually redeemed the game, followed by Buried and Origins those 3 maps saved the game.
I had fun throughout the entirety of Black Ops 2 cycle, yes I enjoyed Tranzit and Die Rise, I still come back to them once in a while with one of my bros
lot of people hated die rise, but a lot of people loved it too. it was the only map like it ever made, so of course it was controversial, and still is. but painting it as universally hated when to a lot of us it was one of our most played maps ever is kind of lame.
Actually you've got it a bit wrong on some things. The community actually wasn't in an uproar until around Die Rise as most people enjoyed Tranzit at launch.
@@Smileytherula were you there when these maps came out? i mean nuketown zombies is playable i guess, good for a quick in and out and not much else but die rise???? lol, lmao even
@@AmyCherryLMAO They're all playable I still play them to this day since bo2 is backwards compatible on Xbox newer gen. They're really good and well designed maps you just have to be good at zombies.
@@Smileytherula i meant "it's playable" in a "this is kinda meh" way but tranzit isnt exactly a "you gotta be good at tranzit" its more of a "how best do we piss off people who only play by themselves?" map

I hated Tranzit, but I loved Nuketown zoms at the time. Loved how the eyes swapped colours at round 25

That’s what I should’ve done: The pain of Vanguard Zombies 😭🙏
I did appreciate how the atmosphere in the BO2 maps felt apocalyptic. The BO3-current maps don't have that feeling at all.

Idk, I personally think that Tranzit and Die Rise are overhated but at the same time there were high expectations after BO1
I loved World at War zombies (despite the glitch regarding the wonderwaffe and the dated zombies AI)
Relating to the intro, some people always put bo1 as their second favourite zombies game after bo3. You don't have to make Die Rise a part of your personality bro, its not that good and people didnt and don't play it LOL
no idea how the community survived the b2b combo of transit then die rise
TheSmithPlays and Lex are literally the only way it survived
Wait, an eternity to wait for the 1st dlc?? Two months?? That’s it? Now a days you have to wait many more 😭
Ik but just picture yourself waiting for a savior map after the disappointment of Tranzit and then finally getting a map and its Die Rise 😭

Bo 2 has one of the greatest mp but zombie was boring i only enjoy mob 😂
Ur tripping brother, Buried and Origins just don't exist ig
