Turns out that not being able to *see* the danger he subjects himself to, be it combat or vaulting between rooftops, was a large part of his fearlessness all those years.
Andrew Finnell In comparison to Superior Iron Man, Doc Ock was a saint. The guy was an insufferable douche to people though. He might have been on the straight-and-narrow but he still treated people harshly, especially those he considered “inferior”, which was, basically, everyone he met. It made his interactions with Anna Maria and his ultimate “sacrifice” all the more impactful though.
Something about liquid metal that solidifies on command is amazing to me. Not to many stories use this idea: Superior Iron Man, Terminator 2, Jimmy Hudson, that's all I can think of.

Villains are basically people who really believes they’re doing the right thing for everyone and everything by making the hardest decisions that would classify them as evil by more ethically sensitive individuals.
I thought it was interesting that the final glimpse we get of Foggy in that last panel as Matt is returning to his normal senses. We're catch sort of a glimpse of how Matt views Foggy without sightedness. Foggy changes from the pudgy, kind of goofy-looking, lovable cuddly dude that we all know so well, and that artists over the years have really worked consistently to portray him as. In the last panel, Foggy has this strong, chisled jaw line and fierce eyes; he's a figure of strength. I can't help but think that was deliberate, it shows us, without having to spell it out, just how strong and powerful Matt views Foggy Nelson, his friend, partner, and man at arm's. Incredible, subtle touch.
Thanks for doing this series. I was really digging the Superior Iron Man arc, but it ended in a very confusing convoluted way thanks to all the Civil War tie-ins.
Jonathan Weatherspoon even match, superior spiderman was a mix of Otto and Peter and Otto always had backups which is why he wasn't the superior spiderman. Superior Ironman was basically a god to normal people but superior spiderman could've pulled it off

Superior Iron Man is not out to help people. Everything he does is to help himself in one form or another. One would use the other as best they could to fit their needs and achieve their goals but they would eventually turn on each other. It would be inevitable.
