Ren is my favorite member of NWA, but some of his solo work/features can be hit or miss and I’m a fan of this one “Down Fa Mine” with Kam was another good one
@@alexmason6191 Black Mafia Life was actually recorded 91/92. It was technically completed before The Chronic. Some of this album was recorded parallel to Efil4zaggin, But do to Dre / Eazy split up and issues Above the LAw had with their label (Think Epic at the time...) It was pushed back. Technically Dre and Cold 187 worked on alot of the early stages of Black Mafia Life and The Chronic together. Hence the similarities....
G-Funk is starting right here. Thanks to BIG Hutch aka Cold 187um. Beat origintor westcoast producer along Shock G. daaaaymn this track...!!! Ren is putting a dope werse on here, showing he's a real MC
That man Ren Voice strong 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Rip Mr. KMG, him and Big Hutch's verses were raw too, he did that shit from production to hoppin on the track itself. True music royalty
Absolutel Classic..I consider Myself lucky to have bagged an original vinyl copy just before the first lockdown 2 years ago..it was expensive but considering the heightened prices for demand during the 2 lockdowns it was a bargain. I remember when the album was released..Hip Hop was at an all time high..first time I heard Tupac was on this album. KMG RIP. Beautiful Legacy. ⚘
2020 still Slappin. This intro does sound a lil like the Chronic. Anyhow, Cold 187 is something else, on the ill unique tip, serious. I feel this mans passion, dam. He's flow, very catchy, very enticing!!
Nwa and atl was sampling pfunk records same drum loops from as sly stone and other funk samples Dre and atl both sampled morhership connection and knee deep, cube and his lench mob and affiliates sampled nothing but parliament funkadelic as well.
I don't know about that, but I will sat this, this album is way better than the cronic and Secondly uncle sam's curse & the legends album and also their 4th album can definitely give this a good run for it's money. 💯!!!
Hardest shit ever!!!! Mc Ren , Above The Law, Black Mafia Life. This made Niggaz 4 Life, And The Chronic. Uncle Sam's Curse.Kokane. Gangster Shit!!!!!!
This entire album bangs...as a matter of fact ALL THEIR ALBUMS SLAP! MY FAVORITE GROUP OUT THE WEST! RIP KMG!!!

You can tell this was recorded not long after Niggaz4life album, Ren is spitting bars the same way as he did on the last N.W.A. album.
Uncle Sam's Curse was right after Niggaz4Life. This album was before that. Black Mafia Life. Same time as 100 Miles & Runin'
@@timtoes6393 if it was before Niggaz4Life then why it was released in 1993

He first to sample las vegas tango by Gary Burton before dj muggs and rza have
Just curious have you heard Las Vegas Tango by Gil Evans as well? Should check it out if not, from his album, The Individualism of Gil Evans
