I just crack up every time they do the bit with Geoff in the matching outfit w/ Ashley Diane and Layne's EYES. So funny. Those two, Geoff and Layne, so often have a sub current of humor running through things and I thrive on watching it.
So many groups take themselves so seriously. Voiceplay is having fun, and inviting us to have fun with them. These are the guys you wish you could hang with.
In spite of Geoff being Camilo the Shapeshifter, singing some of Isabella’s parts, Cesar and Layne stole the show!
VoicePlay owns Disney covers. This was hilarious. You have GOT to watch Dragonborn Comes though. It's even more epic than Hoist the Colours was. Geoff really IS the dragon in this one and his starting low note is insane!
You're right; each a capella group brings their own unique vibe to the game. Pentatonix is the group you bring home to meet the parents; VoicePlay will take you to a movie or a Broadway show; Home Free will be found out in the parking lot, throwing a tailgate party.
Best way I've heard the main Acapella groups described is Pentatonix is the student council, voice play is the theater kids,and home free is skipping class and throwing a kegger in the parking lot.lol

You need to react to their cover of "The Dragonborn Comes"/Skyrim. #TheatreKidsOfACappella. Cesar wearing 20lbs of real chainmail, bows and arrows, swords, mace hammers, and spellbooks. Geoff really went for over the top with that one.
Not only are they stellar singers, but they are an absolute blast. I can watch this sooo many times and find something else enjoyable.
They're more of the theatrical group.
Ashley Diane ordered 2 sizes of her outfit, the smaller one fit well so she talked Geoff into being one of the characters that is a chameleon so he would take her part and she could glare at him. They have so much fun.

Voice Play are known as The Theater Kids. The original members worked at Disney when they were just starting out. That's where the love of Disney cover songs comes from. They always stay true to whatever song they do but add a twist of their own to it.

Thank you for an awesome reaction. Please do a reaction video of Voice Plays version of Dream On by Aerosmith. It is better than Aerosmith's. Carry On My Wayward Son is totally awesome. On of Voice Plays best. If your into video games please do a reaction video of Voice Plays version of The Dragonborn Comes/Skyrim. Also the Halo theme song from Halo.
The way I see it....Voiceplay are more theatrical....Home Free are more Country....PTX are more modern pop music....And Voctave are more choral.....But they can all chop and change to different genres when they want to.....
