Thanks for this! Rachel Potter has the Disney Princess voice down cold, but she's not limited to that. Listen to VP's arrangement of Attention w/ Rachel... stunning and very dramatic. If you like Broadway, you can't miss their new release, an incredibly stylish update of Fiddler on the Roof's "Wish I were a Rich Man/Girl." Then go listen to their arrangement of Johnny Cash's "Daddy Sang Bass" and watch for all of their families to join them at the end. I think you'd like that.
Because, Rachel has played Disney princesses on stage before; she already knows what she is doing.
Oh, you should *definitely* check out their cover of Attention. It doesn't get nearly the credit it deserves- and if you think Rachel Potter was shining in this, she absolutely slays in Attention. Really great performances, and really fantastic engineering on the track as well.

Imagine the part of Maui (sang here by Earl) sang by The Rock (Yes Dwight Johnson) You should see this movie just for the music, it's insane) All the VoicePlay Disney medleys are insane, Their Little Mermaid one also features Rachel Potter and she'll put you in your seat on that one.

Voiceplay has had a couple of personnel changes over the last few years. This was done when their longtime baritone Tony Wakim left the group and they were auditioning for his replacement. Rachel wasn't auditioning, she's a frequent guest even when they're at full strength. Tony's slot was eventually filled by J. None. Then early last year the high tenor, Earl, left and they've been filling that slot with guest artists. Then this year J. None left to join the U.S. Navy Band, but they've already replaced him with Cesar de la Rosa. But the core of Layne, Geoff and Eli has hung in there for the long haul.

This movie is fantastic. There's no romance at all, just a girl finding her place in the world.

Geoff Castallucci has a 5 octave range and Layne (lower left with the beard and Surf shirt) is the beatboxer, there are no instruments. Eli (pronounced Ellie) is a tenor as is Earl, upper right. You should listen to their Little Mermaid medley, and their Oogie Boogie song from the Nightmare Before Christmas. Oh their new release of, If I Were A Rich Man, from Fiddler On The Roof, featuring Cesar their newest member and a female guest who will blow your headphones off.

I became a fan of Pentatonix first, then I got really into Home Free for a while, then when I was introduced to Voiceplay I decided that they were definitely my favorite a cappella group, I just really identify with their theatrical approach to most of their songs, but I love a lot of their other songs like Mr. Blue Sky, Sh-boom, Eleanor Rigby, Kiss by Prince, Superstition, Bang! There’s so many good ones!
