2007 Mercedes Benz ML63 AMG Internal Coolant Leak

- This 07 ML63 experienced an instantaneous coolant loss. Customer started the vehicle one morning with miss, white smoke and low coolant message. Broken head bolt on left head.

Yes quite pricey and the Mercedes dealers in Canada don't offer much if any discounts on parts. Ended up ordering everything out of Silver Star Mercedes in New York. Very good customer service!

My 2007 just crapped out last night. 130k with a clean oil change just 1500 miles ago. Not looking forward to the bill on this one. I love the car but this is crazy town.
It's quite a job and will be a significant bill for sure.

@@PhillipBailey Cool! I have one, I have a water leak behind the engine. Can you tell me if there is a water pipe under the intake manifold?
how did you remove that broken bolt?
Lifted the head up enough and supported with two blocks of wood then removed piece with visegrips. Its not tight in the threads
how many miles/km on the car?
mario4526 it was low mileage, only 150,000 klm
Phillip Bailey i have a 07 115k miles and so far no problems (knock on wood) just wear and tear items
Are these engines junk ?
There are some inherent problems well documented with the head bolts suddenly breaking. If the engine is run for any distance with coolant in the oil the results are devastating. Engine replacement 25k. I would not own one myself.
