Thanks for sharing this, Austin. Kyle is a good presenter. I haven't decided on an avionics manufacturer for my project, and this information helps keep Advanced Flight Systems on the table. What I have decided on is to forgo a NAV receiver. GPS navigation is enough for me. RNAV approach minimums are enough for me - but that's me.

Thanks for watching and for the comment! I agree. Kyle really knows his stuff. It has been great working with him so far. I think AFS is a solid option for builders. I like the one-stop shop idea a lot.
I can definitely see where you are coming from concerning NAV. I think that GPS only may become the norm in the coming years. I can see the reasoning for having a NAV receiver, but for our mission it may not really be needed.

I am finishing a build using AFS. Their customer service was top notch. Installation was a breeze, the wiring harnesses are works of art. I highly recommend them.
