Thanks, PG. The information about rebuilding the curves as well as the use of the control points for forming the shape and also the use of offsetting the curve instead of the surface are all such good basic things to know and use.
Thank you very much PJ for your tutorials, they are the best to learn how to model jewelry with Rhino that I found on youtube. One query: joining and reconstructing the curve so that later on, it will not be great for problems, but whenever you rebuild, it gives you many more control points (something that we supposedly should avoid in Rhino) and the second thing I observe is that Reconstructed curve is no longer as perfect as the original. Thanks, teacher!
Thank you for your thoughtful approach to teaching rhino. We learn from your mistakes and you process. Excellent reminder to REBUILD, and this very good use of loft.
Your tutorials are among the best I have seen, thank you. One question for you, at 10:20, what is your preferred method to set the gumball to the absolute center of the shape? Odd-numbered star shapes always suffer from non-centered pivot points as the center of the bounding box for the selected items is not the same as the center of the star-like shape. Curious about what your approach would be.
It depends on what you like to center with. the area, volume, distant? it can be all set up in rhino. for example. if you like to center by distant. you can always draw a curve and snap in the middle.
Thank you PJ! I have a doubt , when I switched on the points it only appeared on the top and bottom of the loft , mine didn’t have any in the center.. is there a reason why ?
PJ, are you ok? I hope you're well. What can I say about your tutorials? Show, perfect, sensational. My sincere thanks. Thank you, always. Success for you.

When you have blend the surface and if the original surface you blend from has bump. then you will have bump. you can always use cap. or flat bottom.

maybe to try rebuild and make sure degree is 3
Thanks for the degree issue..
That is cool, isn't it!
Yes yes
Why not use sweep rail2?
There is always more than one way to model the same model
hello sir pls help how did you render this looking so real. . . .
I use Keyshot for rendering.
How can you close the surface above and below? That it becomes more solid
blend surface
Hello pjchen
I can’t open the control point on the surface just like your video at 10:13.
What’s wrong with it?
Thx
if the surface is polysurface, it won't work.
How to use this model for product manufacturing just as inventor and fusion360
Rhino doesn't have that function. Does anyone in this channel have better tips on this question?
PJ, are you ok? I hope you're well. What can I say about your tutorials? Show, perfect, sensational. My sincere thanks. Thank you, always. Success for you.
Thank you Gabriel!!
what is that showing in starting of video front right side - ,,,, 14K , 18K, 22K, 24K, ????? And Near this polish, hamered, glass, gem?????
I have RhinoGold plugin. that is the preset rendering. I do use Keyshot App for my rendering. they have pretty good library for jewelry materials.
