- New Breeders exclusive! I used footage from the music video from Muse called The Dark Side to put this one together. I thought the brain scene was especially fitting being such a hit from Obsolete. I hope you guys enjoy it.

That guitar riff and synth was years ahead of it's time
It will forever hold its relevancy
And the guitar was the only thing they added to the tune... So ya the og Gary versions synth riff was waaaay ahead.
I was 13 when the original version was released and I can tell you that song blew everybody away. There was nothing like it.

Same! This song left a mark in my heart when was around 5 years old that doesn't know how to play Test Drive 6. All I know is I love the song when I was a little boy (still love it now as a 27 yrs old) and I told my self when I was little when I grow up and reach 30 that I can buy a sports car and this would be the very first music that I'll play after I buy one.
Now thank God that I am able to sort things out in my life and I hope soon that I can fulfill my childhood dream God willing.

Takes me back to Dreamcast days. Test Drive 6 had Playstation 2 graphics and world-class sound in early 2000s. Truly ahead of it's time. This song and the game I heard the song from are a sound from another era anymore.
Are Fear Factory worth checking out? I f'n LOVE this.
Their song "Bite the Hand That Bleeds" was used in the film SAW also, fits really well.

This re-edit is great, I just wish we had some footage of Gary at the end driving his car (as opposed to being a dead body in the original of his blown up, rusted down car). Still, props for showing love to a song that absolutely deserves it.

Not a bad version actually, still Gary numan can't be beaten.
Gary does a live version of this with Nine Inch Nails which is just as bad ass as this version.

Obscure? Cars is Gary Numan's most recognizable song and is hugely influential... and Fear Factory is a metal band from the 90's when metal wasn't as big, but this was one of their biggest crossover hits that got a bunch of airplay during the late 90's

Haha thanks Joshy! We thought a little jazz up wouldn't be a bad idea. We only swapped out the original car scenes for new car scenes and basically left the edit as it was which was already amazing!
@@newbreedtv3833 yeah at first I was like no... No. Then as the video went on I was like well, you pretty much just got rid of the woman running to the car exploding. Plus, who wouldn't like the synth wave aesthetic?
@@Damagedbyher haha yeah man and the thing that triggered the re edit was actually the ending of the muse clip where the car cruises on into the brain. We thought damn! That fits with the Obsolete theme perfectly so the edit was whipped up
