      I was just thinking the same thing!! Everything she was saying im like "YOU HAVE TO BE PREGNANT!!" I myself am 13 weeks and I knew all of these same symptoms! 2 weeks before I found out, I had the HARDEST time getting motivated to work out!

      2 1/2 weeks isn’t a thing, preggas starts at 4 weeks. But 2 1/2 weeks is implantation though so definitely the same symptoms of pregnancy. I suppose it depends on what you believe about conception and when pregnancy starts but phtysiologicaly 2 weeks pregnant is not a medically recognised thing

      @@jessicawhitfield5674 I suppose if find out via a doctor super early then it would technically be but midwives count week 1 as the last period so if you find out literally as you conceive it would only be 2 weeks I suppose but it depends on the doctor and how they track it. Normally 4 weeks is standard when you would normally get your period so that’s 2 weeks post ovulation if your cycle is really consistent and ovulate on day 14

      seriously. she can't be more than 23-25% bodyweight. other fitness youtubers like Whitney Simmons and Nikki B hover around 22-24% bodyfat and they don't care cuz they know they are fit. i feel like Sarah doesn't like her current body and wants to go back to the figure she had before ---- when she always got sick and had no period for almost a year. its not healthy.
      why can't she tell us how much she weighs? i bet its not that bad.

    *So many people are misinterpreting "Project Comeback"* It doesn't mean that her lifestyle that isn't working -- it just means that she's getting back in routine after some life changes! I mean, a new dog and a new apartment?? Definitley warrants a project comeback.
    EVERYONE goes through ebbs and flows with their eating and exercise (habits in general), and it's unrealistic to expect her not to. Think of how your own habits change after big events, vacations, the start of the school year.
    The criticism Sarah's receiving from is an indication that people can track her lifestyle better they track their own. She's living a normal life, don't let the expectations of perfect social media life trick you into thinking that Sarah is losing control lol.
    Lastly, remember that her UA-cam is just a reflection of her daily life. Her vlogs don't serve as a comprehensive how-to guide, so the judgement isn't necessary

    I’m sorry to comment this, I love you Sarah but sometimes I feel like you obsess too much over what you eat and it can be triggering to certain people. I had a period of time in my life (when I first got into fitness) where literally I felt like everything bloated me super badly and I felt nauseous after nearly every meal. I remember feeling super sick after just eating an organic fig bar and tea for breakfast and after that my parents gave me a stern talk about eating enough while doing exercise/ body image, etc. After a lot of introspection I figured out that partly what caused that discomfort was just my mentality about those foods. The way I thought of them and the fact that I put them into “good” and “bad” boxes. I’m not perfect now but it’s certainly gotten a whole lot better and I feel a lot more balanced.

    Being a fitness nut I totally get that not having a good workout for 4 days can make you feel a little blobby, but at the same time, I feel like for girls who are struggling with body image or are new to fitness or just getting started on their journies would find this really discouraging. To the girls who have found this discouraging, know that we are all on our own unique fitness journies and while 4 days of being inactive isn't ideal for Sarah, it shouldn't make you feel bad. If you've had weeks or even months of feeling unmotivated, if you've been eating unhealthy food recently or if you're struggling, it's totally okay and beating yourself up about it isn't worth it. Also, weight doesn't matter! It's just a number and it's totally different for everyone depending on SO many factors. Measure progress in other ways and stay away from the scales

  • @MaryannAuger
    @MaryannAuger 6 років тому +137

    I understand that Sarah is sharing her life and how she feels but I still think she’s not in a good place with her body image. The things she said can be very triggering with some people that are sensitive to eating disorders. I’m on vacation and haven’t worked out in a week. I am not unfit because of it, nor am I fat because of it. It might take me a couple days to lift my normal weights, but that’s normal! For me being sustainable is to take in account that you will have moments where you don’t go to the gym for a few days because life gets in the way or you don’t feel like it and that’s normal! I’m not saying this to hate on Sezzy. I love her videos and I like the general message she is spreading about listening to your body. I just wanted to put this out there in case it might help someone because I’ve struggled with disordered eating before. You are more than your body ❤️

      Yea, that's actually a pretty healthy mind-set to have. What see does actually, which is not healthy, is conditioned happiness. Which means she is calm and happy when she is eating healthy, going to the gym etc. What we should all aim at, is unconditioned happiness. Be disciplined to work out to feel healthier not to look better, eat healthy to feel energized, but if life comes to your way (work, college, vacation, kids, any other obligation), think about it as just short-term obligations you have to manage with. All the workouts you did previously should make you feel better and easier to take a 4-7 even 14 days break from exercising, not create a feeling of guilt. I don't know, maybe I am wrong, but feeling guilty emotions means you are not grateful for what you have done so far and you are not aware where you are standing.

    but how is it realistic to eat no junk food ever?? like love you sez but i dont understand how you do it! i have never seen you eat hot chips or skittles EVER and i know they used to be some of your favourite foods as you say, but why do you have to cut it out forever? i watch a lot of other fitness youtbers that still eat junk sometimes like on a cheat day or whatever because even though there are healthy alternatives to everything sometimes you just want the real thing and thats fine because thats about balance. I just dont think i could cut out some of my favourite foods entirely how do you mask those cravings so much i would love to know

      I cut out all refined sugar when I realized how bad it was for my health and have never looked back. I used to be someone who would NEVER say no to dessert, and I lived for ice cream. When I took them out and broke my addiction to sugar, I am not even tempted by them anymore. The way I feel without all that sugar is 1000000x better then any of that ever tasted.
      This is just my experience personally, I know some people can have things in moderation and do well like that. But I am with sezzy, you FEEL better after eating the healthy alternatives.

      i would agree that cutting out junk food as much as possible is a good habit just because junk food has a bunch of unnatural and really addictive ingredients! If i ever do find myself eating candy bars or anything with refined sugar i have to literally ween myself off of it for a few days before getting used to eating healthy food again. For me, junk food just makes me want more and crave more and thats what leads to binge eating and feeling bloated and gross. Id rather eat a healthy version to satisfy my sweet tooth but avoid the unnatural sugar high and cravings for the next week.

    As someone who has been recovered from an eating disorder for years I rarely find myself "triggered" anymore, even as I watch people weigh their food and workout for hours. However, I have to agree with the people who find Sarah's approach and attitude in this video extremely problematic. It's fine to love the gym, it's fine to get antsy when you don't go for almost a week or when you haven't been eating well. But it's not normal behavior to start beating yourself and stating that you need a "comeback" like you're a washed up sitcom actress from the nineties, after a few days without training. Its not normal to get nostalgic about a time where you were lonely, overworking yourself, and undereating to the point of no longer menstruating. As someone who has suffered from anorexia in the past, it's not that I "can't handle" or am triggered by fitness talk or behavior, but I certainly raise my eyebrows when someone is behaving in a way that I recognize as not entirely mentally healthy. It might be "normal" for the fitness world--but how much is that really saying?

      Muscle doesn’t technically weigh more than fat, a pound of fat and a pound of muscle are both a pound. Muscle is more dense and takes up more space on the body than fat, which is why people say it “weighs” more. Her weight gain could be muscle, fat, water, a combination of all three. But as someone who works out frequently, like Sarah, despite the scale, we can look in the mirror or feel our skin and know our body composition is “off” from what we’re used to, even if it does still look good. I’m sure she just feels she isn’t in her best state.

    Sarah, I really hope you see this comment and take it into consideration. Watching you attempt to justify not going to the gym for 4 days, is sending the wrong message. When you took a step back from training and focusing on your diet/fitness balance, this helped you regain your period. Watching this looks like you are in a really unhealthy mind set. Captioning this video as "i have gained weight" is so sad and misleading. When really you have only stopped training for a few days and lost a bit of muscle. This is so unhealthy not only for yourself, but for every one watching. Personally, I think you should study and begin a career in health / nutrition / fitness and wellbeing. This will allow you to actually find the true meaning of a balanced, healthy lifestyle, and you can give people actual realistic health advice and expectations on your youtube channel. All i am starting to see is such an unhealthy, toxic message you are sending. So please listen to all the other comments and take it on board. 💙

    As many of the comments state, I used to watch you religiously before Sarah, but your idea of health and fitness is very much unhealthy and something I no longer wanted to hear. Preface: I LOVE Sarah. I've been watching her for so long and love her workouts. BUT I genuinely hope that she one day realizes and embraces intuitive eating/living truly. Body weight fluctuation is normal and healthy. Seasons of eating differently and not working out as much are normal and healthy. 4 days of no gym is healthy. It would be different if she would have just said " I want to go back to the gym because it makes me feel better", but the premise of her needing to go back to the gym because she "gained weight" is ridiculous when she is obviously at a healthy weight. Doesn't seem like she has a very healthy mindset around food/exercise

    I think that her mindset on wanting to just "get shredded" again and thinking that 4 days off is bad is so dangerous in terms of body image, eating disorders, and over-exercising habits. This video is not only triggering to others but also herself and she probably doesn't even realize it. Sarah honestly looks amazing with healthy hair, has her period back, and overall seems happier with her life and it's sad that she thinks she has to improve her body even more to look a certain way and feel "better about herself"... and the weight gain seems to be really bothering her or she would t of even mentioned it...

      @mallorydemille9065 6 років тому +2

      Weight isn't a 100% accurate marker of health, that is true, but it is a good estimate. Especially if you haven't been working out and you gain weight, you know it is not muscle mass. Of course it is not healthy to be obsessed with it, but it is a good marker none the less.

    She seems to be reflecting a lot on her past 'shredded' body. A lot of it is good, she's seeing that this period of time wasn't sustainable. However it worried me a bit when she was with Kurt in the car and she said: let's be shredders again like when we first met. I know she realizes that she was too extreme but I also think that subconsciously she does want to be that lean again. Just overall, some of comments she makes in this video kind of worry me. I think she doesn't realize fully that she puts a lot of pressure on herself to be shredded.

    Love you and your videos! Totally honestly though sometimes it makes me feel more down on myself when you talk about you being lazy and eating bad when it’s still 48383920 times better than me on my best day, and i typically watch UA-cam when I’m being lazy. I try to watch your videos though when I’m trying to get motivated. Maybe I’m just trying to say don’t be so hard on yourself because you’re pretty much always killing it!

    Rewatching this after the pregnancy announcement makes me wonder if her sluggishness and body issues were due to the hormones from the baby .. I think this is right around when she got pregnant? Idk I'd love a vlog made up of clips of her talking about symptoms or feelings or issues she was having leading up to taking the test! Lol

    WHAT I NEED TO KNOW IS
    sezzy. Where did you get that glass, spoon, and straw that you used for your smoothie.

      Hope you’re good girl and remember as long as you and the people you love are alive and not in danger there really isn’t a problem 🤷🏼‍♀️ that’s how I like to think of things if something isn’t going well

    Watching this video back thinking ‘she looks great, hasn’t gained any weight’ then worked out you were probably very early on in your pregnancy which explains the weight gain!!
