@@michaelhernandez8102That’s normal, it won’t move all the way freely until both cases are put together. You are looking for the shift drum to smoothly through all the gears.
This video hopefully will help i put together the trans wrong once and im reopening it this week lets hop for the best there were some metal shavings in the gear oil first go around but all the gears seemed fine im gonna double check this time
when I put my yz 125 trans back it it'll lock up like it did when you didn't have the forks or drum in it coul I have installed it wrong? when it was all together it wouldn't shift past 2nd

What would a missing second gear be? Worn shift fork or gear? It like bucks like it’s not catching so I usually just go 1 to 3 but want to fix it.
that’s the same way my 5th gear is on my bike, i took it to a shop and they think it’s just the gear that’s worn out or sheared off.
