I was hoping they would let us go to the lake of souls and bring him back somehow after the game was beaten. Glad kratos didn't kill him though

Can we talk about how Kratos has refused to believe he can’t wield Mjiolner. He tries to grab it every time.

5:40-I just like how Kratos says it.
This rematch just proved that Kratos has always been the dominant force between him and Thor in an all-out battle. Judging by the fight, Thor already poured all his might here starting from when Kratos stabbed him with the blades at 1:20. Kratos still managed to get the upperhand on him to the point where Thor concedes as kratos dragged that knife on his left hand.
And to top it off, at 4:45 the same hit that knocked Kratos out from their first encounter no longer had the same impact on Kratos. He adapted and took it like it was a bitch slap.
Thor was weakened since the beginning of the game when Kratos used the axe on him (the axe the poison of the serpent) plus he had just left a fight with Jor and a bunch of armies so he wasn''t in his top notch form when fighting Kratos in the end
@@yurialmeida1681 if we had gotten the sober and in control not injured version of Thor here vs the kratos not holding back here. The fight would've not been able to be contained in just one realm. The nine realms would've been shook.

I have no idea what all of you are trying to say. There is no "version" of Thor in this game that could beat Kratos- sober or otherwise. Heck you're not even sure if he was even drunk. Thor only fought the serpent and a few elves for a few minutes at best. You think the God of thunder would just tire out? Please. He was already AT full power It's pretty indicative just on how lightning was already flowing around him. He battled a snake, big woop. Kratos in GOW 2 - 3 was non stop banging against every God and Titan he was up against without breaking a sweat.
"Oh, gee. I wished kratos was fresh from all that fighting so he could beat Zeus." Guess what, he still did. So stop with those damn excuses.

Let me remind you Thor WAS POISONED, the axe was imbued with Eitr for a reason and NPC's even mention about someone trying to poison him in asgard, he wasn't on 100% and neither was Kratos he had no intention to kill nor did he tap into his rage in any cutscene.
I'm not saying Kratos can't handle Thor at full power, I'm just saying the last boss fight with him was unsatisfying, the first one was good but we were hoping for more. Oh and Thor KILLED Kratos (even tho Kratos was holding back by a lot, so was Thor)
I know death it's not a big deal for Kratos considering how many times he died, but still, kind of a big deal since Thor was the only one who managed to do that, you don't just kill the GOD OF WAR while his guard is down/lacking.
But none of that matters, all we were saying and wanted was a bigger and way more epic boss fight in the end game with Thor, it would have been really cool if he could damage us while Kratos was in rage mode or something, seeing two gods go all out.

@@northernalpine4350 Kratos is definitely stronger than Thor, but the God of Thunder put up a damn good fight. Kratos even says in his journal that Thor with Mjolnir in hand hits HARD, as in very few things hit Kratos as hard as that hammer. And this is the guy who fought Kronos and Hercules.

For those questioning how strong kratos really is. Look how strong he threw thor you could see the wind getting cut as thor got launched into the air
not just that, he managed to STOP Mjólnir mid flight, thats is NOT supposed to be possible in the context of this universe as Mjólnir was enchanted to ONLY be held by thor those with his blood (Odin because hes his father, and thrudd because shes his daughter) otherwise, it would feel like youre trying to lift an entire Continent condensed to the size of a hammer
And remember, Kratos stopped Mjólnir, MID FLIGHT, while it had a shitton of force along with the weight, that is insanity

Thor doesn't have enough strength to open a portal between realms, not to mention a time travel !!! The snake is a mystery itself since Atreus revive it with a Jotnar soul. Idk whose soul but it seems that this Jotnar has a great power himself. He can turn very big size in a snake form with just a short amount of time.

Someone pointed out that the cause of that may have been because the realms were unstable during Ragnarok because of the war, hence the blow sent Jormie back a couple dozen years, a bit of a stretch but i think its possible

He wouldn’t have done the same thing to thor as he did to heimdall. Kratos wanted heimdall dead because the Norns told kratos that heimdall would kill loki. also kratos doesn’t really want to fight thor he would rather ally with him and his daughter.
Thor wouldn't have gone down as easily. Unlike Heimdall who screamed 'stop' when he got his arm stabbed and pinned to the wall, Thor took many injuries to his stomach and would have kept going despite his hand being stabbed on the ground.

Anyone else notice that the wound on thor from the axe never heals??? Baldur healed from the axe, so maybe thor is weak to the venom on the axe I guess. I do like how he swings the game with his chain in a circle and smashes thor with it. I guess all that talk about kratos not being strong enough for the hammer was just him controlling himself again
That’s because baldur was invincible at one point and could heal himself and was able to die unlike Thor

@@josesoares4601 not true because the first fight between kratos and baldur, Baldur was severely damaged but he couldn’t feel the pain but he still had to recover his body.
In the myths, Thor dies to Jormungandr's poisonous breath not long after he killed him in Ragnorak.
The after mentioned Serpent's breath is named Eitr, which in the first game was shown when he returned the Leviathan Axe and a message pops up stating 'Eitr imbuned.' More likely than not, the wound was infected by the poison delivered by the axe and thus quite possibly Thor was already dying to it and even had Odin not killed him, he probably would start showing signs of being sicklier before dying at some point.
Can't imagine Kratos being the TRUE God of War. Even this lesser version of Kratos is deadly.

I know why main story boss battle is easier than side quest boss encounter. The dev wouldn't want people to be stuck. But it always felt so weird that Baldur fight easier than Valkyrie, berserker fight more challenging than thor. . And new Valkyrie queen is tougher than Odin's.
Yea it’s crazy it only took me two tries to beat Odin on Give me on mercy. But it took like 15 to beat the double dreki encounter in the crater.

Fun Fact, Kratos became stronger and Thor got weaker by the end game, even in Thor's rage mode, Thor hit Kratos with the hammer, again to the face, with the same blow that killed him the first fight to then revive him, but by this ending, Thor has lost all focus as a warrior, so his hits weren't strong enough, and Kratos just took it and kept smashing each other's weapons..

Again, this is NOT MCU, no worthiness enchantment. Kratos is just that strong.
Mythological Mjolnir can be pulled by anyone with enought physical strenght to rival Thor,and Kratos surely got that.
