Porsche 968 gets CarPlay and a backup camera!!!

In this video I install and aftermarket head unit with a backup camera into my Porsche 968. First I remove all the wiring from the previous unit which didn't work, I figure out what wires do what, I get the new wiring harness installed, I run the backup camera wires through the car, and I make sure it all works, which it does!

Wow! Tedious, finicky work! You have the patience of a saint! Aftermarket radio heads certainly have come a long way in the last . . . oh, my, has it been 30 years?!

I was pretty overwhelmed looking at the mess of wires. But once i knew what to look for it was pretty fun figuring out what goes where! And yeah, that head unit was just over $110 for a refurbished from eBay and it works great. I didn't want to spend a bunch if I couldn't get everything working but I'm very happy with the quality, so it's staying!
