Unlocking Recon armor in Halo 3 feels way more rewarding than unlocking this shit. Achilles requires time and grind while Recon rewards you for unlocking Mythic achievements. Most people who enjoy playing Halo (like myself) don't have the time to unlock the Achilles. I don't want to waste my life unlocking something that will not benefit me in the long run. If I were to unlock Achilles, will I be rewarded to get a VIP pass to go visit 343 industries? Will it unlock exclusive REQ's such as armor, weapons, etc? Gaming is a hobby not a lifestyle.
Churro Blast the recon helmet doesn't help you either in halo 3, neither does the katana but it just looks cool. And to get recon in halo 3 took a long time and tries for anyone so it really isn't different that this helmet.

meh achilles is the cancer of halo 5 it doesn't requires as much skill as it requires time and it encourages things like farming kills in warzone where you and your team intentionally ignore bosses and AI only to trap the enemy team in their main spawn and farm the max amount of kills per game
Just looked up my career Halo kill total out of curiosity... Halo 1 was offline so don't have stats for it but totaling my kills from Halo 2, 3, Reach, 4, MCC, and 5 gets me just over 225,000 kills. I played Halo 1 MP with friends about as much as Halo 2 online so probably can add another 30,000 kills for that so my total series kills since 2001 is probably in the vicinity of 250,000 to 260,000 kills. Just over halfway to the 500k mark and that's with 16 years of playing Halo... wow

Dude I wish i could at least at the very least be on the mcc home screen go to profile career thing and see achilles challenges right there and the you could go solo in any order to get the pieces and the easiest part would be getting the helmet you just play the game regularly and eventually you would get this helmet and be able to enjoy it gorgeous view on your spartans body as you play but for those who like hardcore playing halo you can go for the rest of the armor now one thing is for sure people will know an entire achilles armor man from a regular helmet only achilles armor man. And for those like me we get a nice sweet helmet for the elites oh im sorry i meant SPARTANS there is the whole armor. You didn't take into account you need at LEAST 4 players for your company to become "active", because if you don't, any kill you do won't count towards the achiless commendations. I have the aquilles armor and helmet, I got it rather quickly with my company, which had like 70 very active members.

In all honestly in my opinion and many people agree, most of the time you come in to contact with a guy with the Achilles helmet they are usually way to good at the game, play way to much and are ass holes
I think this amour was a good idea by 343I. The biggest issue I see from it is people team stacked in Warzone who just farm kills. I would have also liked to see some other amours unlocked through commendations. Achilles amour is the only amour I see in Halo 5 and go "wow, that players has Achilles"

I feel that this is worth mentioning: Those numbers you were using are only for Level 5 of the Commendations. The counters reset after you complete each Level. Meaning, in the case of No Hard Feelings, that you have to get hundreds of thousands of kills before the 486,000 of Level 5.

By the time you get it (assuming it didn't came in your req pack), halo 6 would had came unless you go nonstop and fast. Tbh, I already enjoy having the EVA [C] helmet (aka Wrath) and mark VI armor. I rather keep the deathly smile face. Already enough work with reqs.

Honestly, is it worth it? You play and play and play, but can you even call it playing? You're grinding forever, defeating the competition aspect of the game, and turning the enjoyment into more of a chore. On the bright side, I imagine successfully achieving this would make you and your Spartan company ridiculously good at the game. But I still don't think it's worth it. In the end, you get a helmet that you'll have only until the next Halo game comes out and everyone migrates to there, and you lose the armor once you start the next game. This is a game to enjoy, you aren't getting paid anything to farm for a helmet.
Dig the math, really neat stuff, but as other comments mention, you do need a minimum of 4 players to even start a company and work towards those commendations. To be fair, you could just have 3 "dead" accounts join with you and it would pretty much be you alone going for it...but man, the total time dedicated is mind boggling...
ya'll should join my company 'bloodborn spartans, we currently only have 6 members, tho we all already have the full achilles set from our previous spartan company, making us experts on achieving achilles so if you're wanting a chance to get the armour/helmet then feel free to send a request to bloodborn spartans :)
Me and my group went crazy on Halo 5. We would save up 100s of thousands of req points trying to get the Achilles set from gold packs. We didn’t know you have to make a Spartan group or whatever. We got at least 60k kills between just 3 of us. We would’ve met the criteria if we had known from the beginning. Now we came back 2 years later and found this out. All that work was for nothing cuz 98% of the armor in Halo 5 is trash
They actually shut down the original halo waypoint anyways, plus most groups already have the set so unless you got it before the actual server shut down its physically impossible as of 2023
343 could add New Achiles helmet variation on the req packs, like they did to helioskrill who had to complete all campains on Halo mcc legendary difficulty

Do u have to have a company because when I go to waypoint and go to commendations it says 64% and some other percentage so once I get to 100% do u still unlock it even if ur not in a company?
actually to get that comendation if you got a hundred plus kills a war zone game and played 20 games a day which is doable it would only take half that time I've seen people with way more kills in halo 3

I got helioskrill (the hard way), but not Achilles
It isnt possibly because a spartan company isn't active until there are at least 4 player in it.
Me and my group went crazy on Halo 5. We would save up 100s of thousands of req points trying to get the Achilles set from gold packs. We didn’t know you have to make a Spartan group or whatever. We got at least 60k kills between just 3 of us. We would’ve met the criteria if we had known from the beginning. Now we came back 2 years later and found this out. All that work was for nothing cuz 98% of the armor in Halo 5 is trash
They actually shut down the original halo waypoint anyways, plus most groups already have the set so unless you got it before the actual server shut down its physically impossible as of 2023
343 could add New Achiles helmet variation on the req packs, like they did to helioskrill who had to complete all campains on Halo mcc legendary difficulty

Well you know that the majority of us don't have that much playtime. So make us a new spartan company were your followers who don't have the Achilles armor set. I'm pretty sure that plenty will join

This is ridiculous longing armor behind a huge grind isn't player friendly ... 343 better get their act straight with infinite but I fear they will double on maybe not with lootboxes but with promotions in game store artificial grinds and more
This armor ain't worth all that effort I'll stick with my Nightfall armor and whatever else drops from playing but good luck to those who try
I have seen so many people with the Achilles helmet it annoys me cuz I've only been playing for 3 days and I've seen like 40 of them, that's not the only thing that I hate about, that helmet is ugly af and I don't know why people want it.
As someone that spent money on this game. Shit like this feels Hateful. Like why the hell would not just make it unlock-able through the campaign

welp that helmet is unobtainable for me.
Do u have to have a company because when I go to waypoint and go to commendations it says 64% and some other percentage so once I get to 100% do u still unlock it even if ur not in a company?

actually to get that comendation if you got a hundred plus kills a war zone game and played 20 games a day which is doable it would only take half that time I've seen people with way more kills in halo 3
is there company who is close to getting the armor who would let me join? ive been with this other company for a while and we have not progressed at all..... would really appreciate it if someone could help me out...
