Black Widow is honestly better off on her own rather than being an Avenger. She's kinda useless in cosmic level events but she really shines in these solo stories.
Avengers in general are largely out of place in Cosmic Level events. The Avengers side of the Infinity story highlighted that better than most.
Ya. She, Hawkeye and Captain America seem way out of their depth during Infinite.
I have always found the avengers to be boring SF, but I have always liked Black Widow.
she is more survival/ getting the job done in comics which to me is more interesting and fun its like Secret Wars/Invasion everyone trying work out who is a skrull and who is human. She is like I don't know who is who so im going to shoot them if they spill green blood great its a skrull if it red well we got medics and healers.

I'll take dc comics over marvels as a whole (in general) just like how I'll take marvel movies over dc's in the same manner. I've got favorites from all four regions, but both have superior aspects and those are where their strengths play the best.
B3418 I would take non of the comics over any of the other since I would be lost thought I tend to enjoy some small series like the World Breaker Hulk and Old Man Logan.
There's no way black widow can win in a "fair fight", but black widow is a spy so there's no such thing as a fair fight when it comes to her. So, if tony wanted her dead (or the new irongirl) she would be dead, and if she wanted any of them dead they would be dead so all depends on initiative.
So let's change stuff a bit for a more dynamic fight by changing the goal. (the simplest thing to change)
If ironman/girl wanted her jailed they wouldn't be able to keep her there, but if natasha wanted them jailed she'd have no problem framing them and keeping them there.

But the widow has enough knowledge about political and mental games to make tony believe he fucked up massively and want to be in jail.
I'm not saying he can't find a way to escape, I'm saying she can make sure he doesn't want to.

Natasha has always been better off as a stand alone character she never was really a team player she likes doing things on her own & her own way. Being an Avenger she has to play by the rules, take orders, not really kill anyone she hates that & she doesn't need a relationship to define her that's why her relationships don't last. Come to think about no relationships between superheroes never lasts something or someone always drives them apart you ever notice that like celebs superheroes tend to date each other?
I've noticed that. I think it's down to the different writers having different visions for the characters, or some of them otherwise not being able to write relationships well. So status quo typically ends up ensuing at the end of a run or story arc.
Thank you soooo much for explaining all these cool comics! I've never been a comic book reader, but I love the characters in the movies. So these videos really shine a new light for me on these characters! Black Widow is a bad ass!!

I love how Sam Wilson - Captain America and Captain America - Steve Rodgers are tying together and leading Marvel into a Justice League Tower of Babel story.
The only Rebirth book I'm thoroughly enjoying is Deathstroke. I love seeing deeper into his history.
Well to be fair the start of ANAD was baaad, many bad stories. I think around 80% started off bad but most of the crap has lessened in the passed year or so and things are slowly getting better.

She technically doesn't fight him. In the same way Punisher didn't really fight him in Greg Rucka's Punisher War Zone mini series.

I don't see what information they could release on her before she defected would alter? It's common knowledge she was an enemy spy during the Cold War and considering how renowned a spy she was known to be, it's safe to assume she did a lot of bad things.

I thought all new all different marvel sucked, given all the backlash and drop of sales it's getting.
i think it's mainly because of the event fatigue and the weird shit they're pulling. but some runs are still super great, like this one for example

Dang, now I want a Black Widow movie. This was really good. It seems to me the All New All Different Marvel stories are terrible when they focus on the main Marvel Heroes like Iron Man/Iron Heart, Hulk/Totally Awesome Hulk and Peter Parker owning his own company. But I think they're killing it when it comes to the background superheroes like Sou's run on Daredevil, as well as stories from Black Widow and Moon Knight. As for the new heroes, some of them work, some of them don't. I think Mile Morales is great (and Peter Parker is my favorite super hero) and Ms. Marvel is pretty cool too. However I can't get behind the new Nova and Iron Heart. Amadeus Cho I'm a little 50/50 about even though he is weaker than Bruce Banner. Marvel is so weird right now XD
captain America is my favorite character. was. I hate that instead of growing the character they keep trying to kill him off. I had that Batman can grow and become darker from loss that spider man has had writing that enriched the character but there isn't enough espionage, terrorist cells, attacks o n the country to competently enrich the character without killing him off. at least the movies are try to stay true to the character.

I remember some of the way old Wolverine art with electra and wolverine from back when they were taking out the hand in the mid-late 80's. Some echoes of that style in this mag.
Black widow is sooooooooooooo underrated. This is exactly why I think a black widow movie would be amazing, just make it like James Bond in a crazy world that happens to have superheroes in it.

Rob just as an idea I'd like to see you cover a comic that you REALLY hate. I love the work that you do. Your videos are usually what I watch while I have my coffee trying to wake up to start my day. All the info you pack into your videos to me your opinion is trusted, When a video is posted no doubt it's going to be worth my time to watch it (Well maybe not Walking dead cause I fucking hate zombies). I'm completely new to comics but I have no idea where to start. I hear franchises gets rebooted sometimes. are the reboots basically the same story as old ones?
Yoko Kurama depends, sometimes they just start a title at 1 again with a new writer and story, the characters history is unchanged but not a big deal in the new title, that's what Marvel typically does. Sometimes they literally say none of the previous stuff ever happened and it's all brand new, which is what DC does sometimes. Then you get the really confusing retcons where some of the history has changed and some hasn't and nobody (writers or readers) seem sure which particularly where characters have shared history. Generally they don't retell old stories beyond the origin story it's a chance to do new things.
Mark Antill OK it sounds like I'm looking for a origin story because I don't know anything about the characters. after reading origin am I safe to jump into any story?
Yoko Kurama some stories may rely on you knowing the characters history. If you are starting I would look for Rebirth for DC and All New All Different for Marvel. These are designed to be easy for jumping on points. They might not cover the origins but are designed so you don't really need to know much history.
fantastic 4 is the place to start as they are the Marvel comic centre peice. Then it depends where your interest lies i.e. Xmen, Avengers, solo series, GOTG, haha there lots.

I'd see the hell out of a #BlackWidow R rated #NoHoldsBarred type of movie! No Avengers or any Costumed Hero... Just BlackWidow in a pure #Espionage flick laying waste #assassination style. A Stand alone flick with no major tie-in to the MCU except by references and easter eggs. A great spy movie that doesn't feel like its from a comic book.
