Historically it is believed that “Heaven” was an actual place (a star) that humans would pray to and not a magical place (much like Olympus, but it needed to be greater than a mountain) . So my theory is that Heaven would be the home world of the engineers, where things were paradise UNTIL entropy was introduced (much like Eve eating the forbidden fruit) and entropy eventually led their world to turmoil (much like humanity eventually would) so the engineers created the goo or found it and used it to seed planets in hopes of recreating their paradise. Now let’s assume this (essentially) God form of Alien is a representation of Eve. She either consumed or was infected by the earliest purest form of goo. She either escaped “Heaven” or was left there. Just had another idea. The story of Genesis and the Old Testament never took place on Earth but instead this “Heaven” system.
