I had the same problem, with two different ELM327 Bluetooth adapters. I was able to get it connect to Torque this way. In Settings in Torque click on OBD2 Adapter Settings and try turning on Disable ELM327 auto timing adjust, then exit all the way out of Torque, restart, and it finally connected and worked fine. It's worth a try, it worked for me. If that doesn't work try toggling the other connection parameters in the Settings/OBD2 Adapter Settings screen. Good luck, y'all car nuts!

Same with generic cheapo from Lazada (blue clear body same type), it looks like they didnt get all the protocols required to talk to HONDA CITY and NISSAN pickups in the microcode, on Android I tried many popular softwares taking care to re boot and take out and reinsert dongle, blutooth connects but after a long while some software reports missing protocols, ie, the comms interface works but protocols neccesary to talk to ECUs on the CAN bus are missing. I paid 149 Thai Bhat a couple of USD, so sadly in-the-bin. Thank you for your video :-)

the adapter must be compatible with the specific cars obd2 protocols! every manufacturer uses different ones and most cheap obd2 adapters don't cover many protocols. check with your manufacturer then make sure the obd2 adapter your buying is compatible with the protocol! this is important. the adapter from bafx products covers them all! it's a few more dollars (about 20$). well worth it.

They give you a clone ODB2 . For,sure that is clone... It will connect to your cellphone but it cannot read your ECU even to try in other car still same problem.
the elm 327 specially the blue one is just a piece of crap, it works for a couple of months and suddenly it cannot connect to ecu and even worse it's unreadable for the phone

I bought the same OBD because it has an on/off switch.
