Great video, maybe warn starters like myself a bit more about the upcomming paperwork. I almost hear nobody talking about sales tax and VATlicense etc... something i am struggling with now
Lovely video content! Sorry for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you considered - Giyenry Konthan Approach (do a search on google)? It is a good one of a kind product for making money online using this simple email marketing minus the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my friend Sam after many years got astronomical success with it.
selling my food business products online for nearly 11 years and it has been a huge success but like all success, it does take time. Great videos and always up for learning all the time. Liked and subscribed appreciate the info ! Would like to do a one on one talking about the Amazon Gourmet food space there is not that many people talking about the food category on Amazon and private label ? we currently have 40 items in this space on FBA and have had great success.
Thanks for the kind feedback! Food and dropshipping don't cross over too much, but food and ecommerce definitely do! I'll add it to the list of potential videos to look into making in the future. Thanks! -Jessica
Med che Winner of a video, I been tryin to find out about "ecommerce business ideas in india" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Giyenry Konthan Approach - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got great results with it.
Hi Jessica your videos are awesome! :) I am ready to start an e-commerce store with Shopify. (and of course Oberlo!) There is only one thing holding me back. Getting customers. Should I first start a facebook page to get some targeted traffic. My thing is I don't want to have a store that I pay for every month and no sales for a really long time.
Hey there! That's completely understandable, and sometimes a risk we have to take. The thing is, traffic is not hard to come by. Especially with Facebook ads. If you utilize the wealth of resources on Oberlo Facebook ads, like this one (bit.ly/2GZ3v3f) and many others on our blog, it shouldn't take long to start generating sales. Follow the guides on how to optimize Facebook ads and you'll be well on your way. You're absolutely correct though, it's good to budget for a little bit of carrying costs and marketing dollars before you start. It doesn't have to cost a lot of money, but expecting not to spend any is not a sound strategy. -Jessica
Thanks for ur Video. Since the last two years i was busy on e-commerces.. now how can i get virtual platform that can match my requirements... could u plz help me on this?
Hi there! You will need a tax ID, eventually. Most tax jurisdictions have a minimum threshold before you're required to start collecting and remitting taxes. In our view, it's better to have your tax ID and business license ahead of time, but it's not a requirement in order to operate. Hope this helps! -Jessica
You can absolutely go only by reviews when importing products. However, if it's doable, we heavily suggest ordering samples. Not only can you confirm the quality of the product yourself, you can also then use it to take your own product photos. Real photos have been proven to perform better in advertising algorithms and typically look more professional because of their higher quality. Afterwards, you can use it for a giveaway or simply send it to a customer if they place an order for it too! -Jessica
Hi Krishna! No need to worry about barcodes, Oberlo makes sure your dropshipped products are properly connected from Shopify to the supplier. All you need to do is import products from Oberlo to Shopify, and the app takes cares of the rest. Hope that helps! -Jessica
Do I need to register dropshipping business in the beginning? Do I need to obtain ein/federal business registered number or tax identification number. Please reply
I have a question; Can I sell low tickets items from AliExpress with running ads on Google and still make a profit? I believe the ads is the most expensive part in the dropshipping model - so is it worth to sell low tickets products?
Hi Hassan, thanks for the question. Yes, you can absolutely sell low ticket items and make a profit. The reason being, you set the profit margin! If a product has a low cost to begin with, you can raise the price and make a bigger margin on it. Also, low-ticket items are easier to sell, so you actually might end up making more by selling more than with a more expensive product! -Jessica
Thank you, Jessica, for a quick response. However, if I raised the price, customers might go with another competitor that offers a lower price. If you have a video about this topic, please share the link, thanks :)
Sorry to hear that! I'd suggest checking out our community at ask.oberlo.com so they can breakdown your store and see what can be improved to make sure you are nabbing those sales! -Jessica
As salamo alikum. Do you know Sourcing for ecommerce products? I want to sale online products, but I don't know which product sells alot in Pakistan and sell again and again. please tell me the method how to find niche and profitable products to sell online.
Absolutely! I'd suggest starting here (bit.ly/2u4d3q0) to get a good foundation of how it works. Then, I would suggest making a free account at Oberlo.com to start importing products. If you have any questions, please message our team at hello@oberlo.com! -Jessica
Hello. Just a few questions to get clarification.(1) In a dropshipping model, every time an order is made, I need to contact the supplier right. This means I need to have a record of all my suppliers and how to contact them, right? (2) Since people can order from any part of the world, how do I inform my customers as to how long it will take for them to get product in their respective countries?(3) In case of a return, where will be the item returning address. My office or suppliers country and who bears the lost on shipment on the item (4) I read that following my passion is not the best option to generate sales. How do I know what winning products to add to my store. Your views are higher appreciated. Thanks
Hi Wilson! Thanks for the wonderful questions. (1) That's what Oberlo is for! Oberlo organizes your products and what suppliers they are from. Once you get an order, you simply need to go to your Oberlo app to place it (bit.ly/2OFAHC6). (2) When setting up your shipping, you can select the countries you'll accept orders from and add the estimated shipping time into the name. We also suggest setting up a shipping page in your menu that has this information neatly for your customers. (3) For returns, you need to accept them to your address. Afterwards, you can send them back to the supplier or if it is unopened, send it to the next customer who places an order. Here's more tips on how to deal with returns (bit.ly/2LLw5MX). (4) For finding winning products and niches, we've written a few guides to show you how to make the best decision (bit.ly/2PhzyAI)! Hope that helps. -Jessica
@@Oberlo hello Jessica. Thanks for your reply. I got a better understanding now. I feel it's best to sell for the US market but I feel when they realize the return address is Nigeria it will b a setback on the other hand, Nigerians don't really have the patience to wait for any online products, they would rather pay on delivery, as that is what they are accustom to, how do I handle this challenge. Should I find a way around the US market or Nigeria where I'm base or the rest of the world. Thanks for your response.
Hey Wilson, thanks for following up! If you're confident Nigeria won't want to wait for online products, then I also think you should sell to another market like the US. You said, "I feel when they realize the return address..." this is is where you need to stop. You feeling something is not a fact and may be what is stopping you from finding success. Your return address is listed only in very discrete places in your store. There might be a good chance customers won't notice. If they do, they may not mind! What's important is testing, testing, testing! -Jessica
