- James Corden kicks off the show trying to imagine how he would cast "The Crown" with the members of The Late Late Show staff. And after he gets into the headlines, including Dwayne Johnson saying he would run for president of the United States if the people want it, James imagines Jason Statham as Secretary of State. And James takes a shot at the Los Angeles neighborhood Silver Lake.

Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."
I love how they keep the "fins up" line running! What a legend!
From which recent episode does this come?
@@jg688 episode 900 during the monologue at 7:22
@ kingofthesharks thanks
Yes!!!! Me, too. Love it.🦈
Please keep this format even once audiences are back. The camaraderie between the staff, band, camera ops, and James is great. Even if it has the vibe of complete chaos. Love it.
It does seem like chaos but I think they discuss the general topics and their order. They do just seem to mostly not have a script. I never watch it on TV and wonder how much of this gets cuts out of the actual show. If it's most of it, the TV watchers are missing a lot.
@@marywood8794 i love the banter too
yes, please.
Yes, I really enjoy this setup!
I agree, this show didn't really work for me until this.
"He's the only keyboard player who has to look at his fingers to play" killed me
me too 🤣, though in my experience its the better musicians that do look at their fingers.......improvisors and such......people are trained that way just to read sheet music, or they're "performers" and think they have to look at the audience for some reason.
I’m a piano player and same 🤣
That was absolutely savage.
I feel like this is just a bunch of friends hanging out rather than a late night talk show. I'm enjoying the format because it differs from what I was used to in Late night shows - I kinda always felt that they were trying to act cool and chill so that I'd get the feeling that they could just be having the show inside my living room. With this format, I feel like they're inviting me in to be there and enjoy the talk with them. I prefer it this way!
Me too i always feel at home while watching James and the gang
I usually like his show, but the beginning bit on this was too much. Yes, they were laughing but I wasn't. Ugh
110 percent. Been sayin it for months now. I pray they never go back. This is so much funnier and more intimate
I agree. I first watch all the other late-night shows before watching this, because I know I will laugh here. Always.
Same here.
The advertising/Diana impersonation part had me rolling... James is hilarious
Gold. So funny.
Was that an impersonation of Diana from the Crown? I haven’t seen it so I was confused and skipped it
@@Karrikua yeah it was obviously exaggerated but very on point xD
@@Supriya03pl Okay I see
Ian's SIRI impressions are funny as f@#k
Yesssss
"Fair", best possible response. Had me rolling.
The fins up callbacks are effing gold.
Lmao truth !! 🐬!!!!!!!
Fins up! 🦈
Reminds me of a baseball team!
I've started using it in real life. 😂
Can someone share the reference? I missed the origin!
It just feels like a bunch of friends have some fun in an expensive studio with high quality cameras and microphones!! And I love it and wouldn’t have it any other way
At 2:55 James gives a glance over to Rob - the same glance that a child uses when he's doing something 'naughty' and is checking his parent's reaction.
I tried to get my roommate and her boyfriend to watch one of your monologues (the recent ‘cat and dog debate’ (context:we have a cat)) and they were, to say the least, completely uninterested. So this shall remain my secret joy, for me, myself, and I only.
Their loss! This is just for us! 🤘🏻😂🤘🏻
A secret club of you and all of those who agree with you.
And 143.000+ of us :)
Sounds like you need new roommates 😂
Ian’s Princess Margaret impression was everything. I had to replay it. 😂
The timing, the anticipatory pause right before he let loose with his British screech-accent...
Am I the only one that started using “Fins Up, Baby” in conversations? Lol
This was an absolutely perfect ending. Just. Perfect.
James: So great to see you here tonight
Me: 8 o’clock in the morning in Germany. And good morning to you too James.;)
Same
Good morning from Poland.
Good morning from American..... it’s 2:50 am here
Good morning from Sweden.
Same! Also Germany
This is the best version of The late late show I hope you keep it going even after the pandemic for those of us who get up the next morning and laugh our butts off at watching you interact with the staff I love it
James Corden's Jason Statham impression NEEDS to be used more!!!
Not only Jame's, the other guy's also- what a resemblance! Amazing😁
When James pulled his ears in frustration! I felt that.
my computer froze right at that moment and the facial expression was priceless haha
Haha James called out silver lake, then he had to pull ALLLLL the way back once he realized the entire band lives there
Ian is so funny! Love when he's interaction with James!!
The whole news music bit makes me laugh so hard every time
This is probably the best show they’ve done. This was so funny I can’t deal.
You could do this for an hour and we would love it more.
yeah I know right?
They missed the most obvious secretary: Statham for Secretary of Transportation and Infrastructure... => The Transporter? Get it? James? Come on...
Quality venting time for James in the Diana impression
Fins up has become a part of my life now 😂
The spirit of the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson approves of this segment.
no such thing as a Sea Gull - they're land birds, so it's just Gull.
"There wasnt a sink between the farm and table"? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m disappointed no one chimed in with “C” as the grade you get in beach school. There’s only so many options haha.
I dunno why but the only grade I could think of was C+. I was genuinely surprised when he said C
Lmao
Surely EVERYBODY saw that coming by the time he finished asking all the crew?!
I enjoyed it only being "C" the buildup made it work for me. I was anticipating some groan inducing "C" pun.
"That's not funny!!!!!!!"
@@bullpuppy7455 haha! Who said that? Cruz? I forgot
The whole time he was asking the crew if any of them knew what grade you got a beach school, I knew, and I was waiting for one of them to say something like "I think so", or "I can guess". Blurting out the answer would be disrespectful to the host, but saying you knew but not revealing the answer takes him down a notch without going over the line.
James seemed a little tipsy tonight lol. And I love it.
This is one of the funniest monologue banters yet! I loved the impressions of the producer and Siri 😂 You get the feeling not all the staff need to be there so they must be on set because it’s so relaxed and entertaining.
James corden best host ever by far
Ill never leave you guys hanging....much love from Belgium xxx
Steve should just hit ‘em with the “Baby Elephant Walk” one of these days.
I think the show is much better without the live audience. I love the chemistry among the crew.
Fins up! Is my new favorite thing; I might actually start using it irl.
This show literally makes me laugh harder than any comedies I watch xD
ooooffff. james really can put people in their place.
' you get a c' I actually choked laughing, loved the lead up. Please, please, please keep it as it is, no live audience needed - we're all out here watching 😂😂👏👏👏
this shows is literally the only one that genuinely makes me crack up so true their all so legendary even if their paid laughers which i doubt
Let's fast travel to a possible future.
President Johnson comes rolling in "DO YOU SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN?! THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO WAAAAAAASHINGTON"
Then 1 year in loses all his gains and looks like Maui... I'd totally be down for that.
Not them making Tyrese the Treasury secretary 😂 incredible joke on the low
I feel like they just secretly tape the rehearsals at this point 😂🤣🤣
Steve was the All Star Tonight 🤣
Susan is lovely, I love her ⚡
I call the following: Over the last 14 days, the crew have at least one evening gotten high AND watched Llamas with hats / Charlie the Unicorn because I'm 3:13 in and it's TEEMING with references LMAO
I thought something sounded familiar 😂
James Corden's show is the only show where everything around the jokes is waaaaaaay funnier than the jokes themselves
Up and laughing! My day is going to be great! 🤣🤣
James would be the butler and Reggie the queen
What a fantastic Late Night Show crew! Definitely the best setup for them - so much fun!
I have seen old photos of Ian Karmel. Another person. He was way bigger and looked 20 years older than he looks now, which is healthy and hot. Amazing
I feel like im part of inside jokes now. Thank you. No better way to have my morning coffee
James Corden is hilarious, the funniest late talk show host, sorry Jimmy ….I look at James and I have to lough, love him !!!
Was so mad UA-cam didn't notify me when this was put out. Like dude this is the one thing I've waited for all day.
This one had me rolling lmao 🤣😂💀
James and his crew are the funniest people on the air.
Other late night shows be like: hey check out the behind the scenes or edited scenes from the showm.
Late Late Show: we made a lot of laughing and bantering on the mono that we literally got like 4 minutes of the actual mono, shall we edit it? Absolutely f***ing not. 😂
I just love to hang out with these guys they are lots of fun
Have I missed something? Ian looks like he lost alot of weight. Looks great.
The Dwayne skit was absolutely hysterical!!!
I just adore you all!
James Corden looks like a member of The Umbrella Academy
When he said Vanessa, I got excited and thought it was gonna be Vanessa Carlton as a musical guest. 😂
Thanks for your love and support I really appreciate, I'll like to know more about you ,can I have your Email address so we can talk better on hangout..?
I got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and I have worried shitless. Thanks James you putting a laugh on my face. :-)
Lady Di impersonation, 😂😂😂🙏
They must never use an audience again.
James, please hire me as a writer. I was yelling "C!" at my computer every time you asked anyone that beach school question. Or, I guess that means, don't hire me as a writer, huh?
Totally off the rails! I live!🙌
James cares so much about the introduction to that news segment xD I love it
By this moment they should start selling merch with “Fins up, baby”, I’d love that.
I am a Dwayne Johnson fan, but the last thing the USA needs is another celebrity that indulges himself with an excessively affluent lifestyle as a President.
Didn’t we just barely survive a disaster in government by having a president who had no political experience whatsoever? Pretty sure we don’t need to do that again.
omg I nearly spit out my coffee at that laugh at 3:49.
That’s not funny!!! His soulful yelling slayed me out.
Sometimes, life will kick you around, but sooner or later, you realize you're not just a survivor. You're a warrior, and you're stronger than anything life throws your way.
Funniest show on late night such a gift this year of Covid
I hope the casting of the crown continues! LOVE how everyone here gets this show together 💗
President "Dwayne Camacho" Johnson. We are on some next level Idiocracy shit already so this wouldn't surprise me.
The running gags with the crew get more hilarious every day! If you do this with an audience, it will be hysterical! We need more director and more Reggie tho! The rest is perfect!
Can you please make “Ask Siri” a regular weekly segment? 🙏🏼
The topics are endless!!!
$12k is def NOT enough to live in WV
Did y’all just brush over the joke “Department of Transportation is Vin DIESEL”
I knew the punch line before James said it, and I still laughed anyway. Great job guys, keep up the good work. 😂😂💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Best show ever 🤩🤩🤩
Is it just me, or does it look like James' diet may be making him a "little" grumpy?😉
@2:17 so glad for fast forward buttons
Am I watching this at 4:30 in the morning whilst getting ready because my mom thought now was a good time to go to church? WELL APPARENTLY
He is the only keyboard player that has to look at his fingers to play.....genius...
That is, honestly, my favorite show. It saved my quarentine. Trouble is... I'm brazilian, I don't get the show here. Does someone know where I can watch the whole thing?
Ian's Margaret is more like Spongebob pretending to be brit
This is unbelievably good
The Jason Statham impression 8:38
I love the late late show with u James
Lol who cares about interviews anymore? These are always my first laugh of the day.
0:51 Daaaamn! Ian looks freakin great! Literally a new man!
3:18 That bit really resonated with Mr Fuck Shit Stack! I had a feeling it would :)
5:15 Is James really that funny or was this rehearsed?
I know you think you're making a show, you're not, you just selling junk food 😂😂
i’m here checking if darren’s live version of runnin around is up yet since i couldn’t watch it in the uk🥲
Idiocracy was a documentary.
