Strategy 5 has been really helpful for me. By thinking about how new phrases fit into real-life conversations, I've become more confident in using them naturally. This approach has made a big difference in my English practice. Thank you for these insightful strategies-they’re making my learning journey much smoother!
Thank you for all this effort. I am learning English alone at home, but I still face one problem, which is that there is no one to talk to, and it is one of the biggest dilemmas when it comes to practicing the language, so I did not find a solution.
Learning on your own is challenging but there are great options for speaking practice. I shared several in this lesson titled: Practical Steps to Be a Confident English Speaker www.speakconfidentenglish.com/practical-steps-to-be-a-confident-english-speaker/
Great lesson, your teaching is crystal clear and this lesson is beneficial for the English learners. It is helpful to improve our English skills. Thank you very much.
Speaking english is a piece of cake for my 14 year old daughter. Inspite of being a non netive, her fluency is amaizing. Need your email please to share something more Ma'm!
Hi Annemarie, First of all, I recently discovered your channel and loved it :) I have been struggling to speak English confidently. I know I speak easily to foreign people in my life, but the fact is I can't speak in an interview. I lost my confidence. That's the bottom line, this channel is good for me and I will watch all the videos. I am sure I will get all the tricks and tips to improve my English. I want to speak English like a native speaker, but it's so difficult. It's my goal and I will achieve it. Greetings from Turkey, Emin P.S. - Sorry about my English. I improve my language every day.
Hi, Emin. Thank you for the kind comments and for watching. I am glad the video was helpful. 😀 When developing English confidence, one option is to download my free "How to Say What You Want in English" training. It's an in-depth training I offer on my website to gain confidence in your English. www.speakconfidentenglish.com/say-what-you-want-in-english
im not born and raised in US. its hard sometimes cause i have to translate in my head words phrases sentences from my own language to English, basic english not big deal. other words im struggling . Its ok i will never stop learning. I live in US for 7 years now❤
Learning and living in a new language is a challenging task, that is for sure. I want you to know you're on the right path. Your struggles are part of the language learning process. And as you continue, you'll discover that you translate less and less. Keep going forward. 😊
It's not possible for people who live where English is not spoken to create an atmosphere in which they are surrounded all by English and have to use it so that they can progress in learning the language.
Thanks for the comment. Indeed, it's more challenging to immerse yourself (and it isn't a total immersion) but you can do quite a bit to surround yourself in English. It requires intentional effort. I did this while living in the U.S. and studying French. Getting speaking practice can be the hardest part. Earlier this year I shared a lesson that included many ways to get speaking practice, even if you don't live in an English-speaking country. You can find it here: Practical Steps to Be a Confident English Speaker www.speakconfidentenglish.com/practical-steps-to-be-a-confident-english-speaker/
Also, it's a quite interesting challenge to find practice. I've already switched the language of my phone to English. And I really like True Crime stories so I've started to watch them in English. Thank you for your video, I know I'm on the right way ❤
Thank you for sharing your sincere and authentic comments on English learning. I'm an English teacher in South Korea. I'd like to share my thoughts on English teaching here with you as well.^^*
Wow... Such a coherent voice and always love watching you whenever you do appear on utube 🤗❤️ Sending greetings and regards to you all the way from Srilanka.. 😘 Hugs.xoxoxo Gams ❤️
Anne Marie thank you for your enriching post. As a second languange English has been for me, one of the few challenges worth persevering with. What have I done? I take a conversation from a character who is a native English speaker, and I listen to it at least 10 times, I try to memorize the text (lasting no more than 7 minutes) as I already know the meaning of the words and the meaning of the text,, this practice has helped me internalize the language and think in English. Receive kind regards
Thank you so much for sharing! That sounds like a very thorough, effective practice. Have you found that you're able to use the new words that you learn in your own conversations as well?
@@Speakconfidentenglish Thank you for your kind comments Anne Marie. With the technique I usually practice of listening to a dialogue several times, and also pronouncing the dialogue several times, the new words usually come naturally and help me become into "English mode" mindset avoiding to think as I do in my own language. Thank you again for your devoted work, receive warm regards

Hi Miss, I got more than 95% words without subtitles in your video, but I still be anxity while comunicating with foreigers, and I indeed can only get 50% or less about their expression. What's the distinction between you and other foreigers?
Hi, thank you for the question. I'm pleased to know you're able to understand most of my videos. That shows strong listening skills. Everyone has a slightly different style of communicating - this can include speaking speech, accent, intonation, and more. It's a good idea to listen to many different English speakers consistently so you can build up your listening skills for different styles.
