I am not willing to pay $2K for a remade air Jordan 1 shoe, shit better be autographed by himself (as much as I like AJ1s). Right now, Nike cortez and Tailwinds are my go-tos since I’ve been on a 80s/90s hype. Everybody has their reasons, I don’t know too much about off-white so I can’t understand why the collab makes it worthy as much as the Dior Jordans.

I also had to send a pair of acg boots back because the sole started to come apart after two weeks of wear. Nah straight up last pair of Dub Zeros I bought size 11 literally had glue smudged from the front sole. And they just had a dingy look. Bought them in store from foot action. Also when my mom used to buy me shoes they got much easier to tear up as I got older somehow. Not saying replicas are the same as authentics, BUT I'm much more comfortable on taking a chance on a perfect pair of fakes for a fraction of the price, rather than dropping the $400-$800 people want for shoes now days.

The companies that make fake shoes tends to also use fake software including fake fonts (yes there is a thing as fake fonts), this is the main reason the fonts are a bit off.

I got mine from Round 2 and even my retail laces have some issues with peeling, just as your insole was peeling. Many variants with the UNC’s, it was a trashy quality control really. I have other off whites in which the laces are STUCK on like glued and some that they aren’t. And what’s even more weird is, it’s only my white laces that peel. The orange and blue do not
If you are watching this, I'm legit checking comparing my friends original to another shoe, and one difference I noticed is in the minute 15:47 if you look at the NIKE the stitching just touches the K, but in the fake one the stitching goes over the K.
Also another difference it is in the jordan wings logo, it should be clearly visible on the inside of the leather when you flip the wings, I it makes sense.

For the record, I had two legit pairs and they both differentiated in what you described. So really it is tough and almost impossible to tell for the most part.

The smell is bcuz contrary to belief Nike uses lots of synthetic formulas that are sound where fakes are a combo of unbalanced synthetics & every part of a cow that can be used(cow muscle, intestines, bone etc.) Same machines tk make 'em judt way cheaper materials this is why fakes sometimes seem waxier.
Here is a thing. Fakes are sometimes just factory rejects. Factory seconds with poor gluing, stitching or coloring. The manufacturer can still sell it for some money without putting their name and quality guarantee behind it.
At 15:53 one they to point out is that the font on the fake pair is overlayed in the stitch holes and on the real pair you can see that it’s like the stitch holes are separated from the font on top.

The writing is the difference. If you look at where the stitch touches the inner outside of the shoe it does not go into the nike "k" on the real pair.

Dorian Spain I’m new to the shoe game but one of the first things I noticed when I opened my new Jordan 4 Breds was the smell. I don’t think it’s that outlandish to be familiar with the smell. It was very distinctive.

The easiest way to tell the difference is the orange tab on the back of the swoosh. On the real pair the space between the bottom of the tab and the seam below will be bigger
Never look for imperfections all shoes have them real or fake. Instead look for consistent clarity
To be honest i just bought off-white prestos fake for 42€ and i mean if the quality is kinda like that im happy with it.I really dont understand the hate on fake shoes i mean if sb sells it ok than you can hate but if a person dont want to pay bot-abuser 700-800 € its not hateable in my opinon. You have to check the Jordan logo, the swoosh, you have to check if the writing is curved or ligned up, you have to check the toebox, you have to check the "Air" writing, sometimes it's smaller and sometimes it's kinda curved on fakes, and lastly the shoelaces.

The one difference I noticed on the fakes is on the side is the writing on the shoe was printed on after the perforation. The real ones the printing was done then the perforation was done afterwards. Pretty obvious difference.

Pause it @ 19:59 and while hes saying that the positioning of the "AIR" on the outer sole is the same you can clearly see the shoe on the right it's more centered to the suede panel above it then the left shoe. The left shoe "AIR" is pushed a little further back on the sole. Look @ the letter i in air, on the left its lined up after the stitching on the suede panel. The one on the right its before the stitching. Not sure which is the fake in that shot though...
I was going to say the same thing. There's a difference there. Here's my thing with "fakes". If you try to sell them and pass them off as real you're an asshole and unethical. But you cop them for yourself then I don't see anything wrong with it, even if someone ask you if they're real and you say they are. Here's why. If you buy a high end "fake" they ain't fakes. They are literally made from the same shit in the same country using the same techniques. And I guarantee that some of the best fakes (shoes, not the box) would pass the QC test in the "legit" factories...period. They've become that good.
ATM Beatz retail pairs vary where the “air” placement is on UNC 1’s so that would be pretty hard to go off when determining which is real and which is fake

I have two legit pairs, again, they are not positioned the same way. I don’t think you can go by alignment on off white Jordan kicks. I’ve seen some legit pairs with the left and right being different on the toe box and stitching. Such a pain in the ass nowadays to tell

I remember buying Jordans to actually wear while hooping. Now they are more of a collectors item or fashion statement. I think if the Reps are durable I'd buy and where them to shoot hoops. IMO anything made in China doesn't compare to hand made in Italy or France.
