I'd rather watch a legend like you then all the anglers of my day. Im 45. Your son Scott is my second favorite. I remember me and my father watching you fish on the weekends, back when you could only see fishing shows on Saturday or Sunday. We either watched you or fished every weekend. Now I'm watching every video you and your son make. He has a ways to go before he is a legend like you. My dad passed away a few years ago. Every time I watch one of your new videos, I feal like he is watching it with me. Thanks for all the years of great information and advice. I look forward to each and every new upload.
That was so cool Roland! Not only the restoration of the original Devils Horse, but the process of making a new one from scratch. Thank you for sharing sir!!
Cool video Roland.. but I agree after I retire a lure the history goes with it!! Most of us don't have sponsers to keep replacing them lol. Every scratch an bang I can tell ya how they got there!
Have you ever lost a lure then a year later at the same spot get it back it happened to me with a square Bill crankbait and it still works good I was highly surprised it wasn't cracked or waterlogged
Hello All, I have two antique / vintage bait minnow keepers that I would like to restore / revive What kind of products can I use that is not toxic ... I would like to keep it natural and not paint please advise
First off what psi is he spraying at? That looks wayyy too high. Next, I would like to know more information about the paint company. Great video though Roland!
Hold up I am confused here. At the start Roland said that this guy here makes the colour systems for all the lures in the world? So you are telling me that if I buy some lure from Japan, that the Japanese aren't allowed to make their own colours, and they had to use a colour "system" from this company spike-it? This doesn't sound like legit information, this sounds like BS to me, I just went and looked at the about page on the spike-it lures website, and it says nothing about being some international authority on lure colouring, instead it looks like some American company that allows you to customise your own lure colouring and patterns. There isn't even an international code of colour systems for lures, any company anywhere is allowed to make any colouring on their lure that they want.
Yeah I think he worded it badly. That company is not responsible for the colors and patterns on some lure bought in a store or from another brand. I think Roland was meaning to say that they make coloring systems for any kind of lure you can think of. When he said all lures in the world, it's not literally meant to mean the physical lures out there in the world, it's more like a figure of speech of saying that this company can essentially allow you to make any customized pattern and coloring that you want.

I would of left that old lure just like it was. The teeth marks/etc tell stories of all the bass it caught over the years.
You have a good point
I respect Roland. He is a Legend and was a huge part of my childhood! But he can be rude as hell sometimes
Good Lord I can tell he never airbrushed before
