Ik it's 2023 but I just recently bought a mk4 jetta 1.8T that's going to be a track car. Well the rear glass was shattered. I searched the internet up and down to figure out how to put the glass in. The shop said 30$ to install. Welp I saved 30$ at the cost of two days lol #savings. Thank you sir. You helped!

Thank you for posting. I shattered my window while weed eating, and I couldn’t figure out how to create space to insert the new window. On other vehicles I’ve owned, the window could easily be lifted out or installed without fuss. The German engineering had me scratching my head, and I didn’t want to completely tear out the door. Thanks again!
Oths easier to remove the door than to remove the glass 😅

Anyone got the video how to remove the golf mk3 quater glass....aaa very difficult
This is not how the pin should be removed. Check the workshop manual. One should use 5mm and 8mm bolts to pull it out. It won't fall into the door if you follow the real/correct instructions.
What did you use to pop the round clips holding the main window? I could not get mine out. Thanks for the video!
For my 2016 E-Golf, I did not need to remove the main window to remove the quarter window. In addition to the two bolts on the inside of the door frame, the quarter window frame is held in with a clip at the top, behind the exterior weather stripping.
I broke the blue plastic window mounting piece trying to knock out the center plastic cylinder piece with a screwdriver like he did. Put a screw in the smaller cylinder and pull it out!!
Is it possible to remove the metal pillar only? Or is it necessary to remove the glass aswell?
From what I remember, you can remove the pillar only

Yes it is, but the easiest way is to remove the rear window also
