- Tim McGraw pays tribute to Toby Keith… Live like you were dying 2-8-2024. This was emotional for me and hard to shoot with tears rolling down my face and my daughters arms around me as I lost my dad to cancer just after this song came out and it always emotionally gotten me. watch and enjoy.
My brother 61 is losing his battle right now with evil cancer...I would do anything to take him to see the Ocean one last time😭💔🌊🕊

I lost my father yesterday to pancreatic cancer… chin up friend you are not alone!
The battle of all battles of cancer is so hard.. no offense but the older you are the harder it is.. I am 36 fighting the fight in November of last year I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.. a rare blood cancer and on top of that I have AL Amyloidosis another rare but this one is a terminal diseases told I would be lucky to live another 5 years.. Any because of the Amyloidosis I have Heart failure the struggle is litterly everyday.. I am on my 5th round of chemo I go every Wednesday at 11 for about 3 hrs to get poison put into my body but I had no choice the amyloidosis had a 6-8 month expectancy if it was untreated.. I am very lucky for the drs I have and nurses to have caught it so early.. I am so close to being in remission it’s not even funny another 2-3 months of chemo and I should be there which then I will have to take a drug called revlimid daily to help my body and also going in for a chemo drug called faspro 1-2 times a month for the rest of my life I am willing to do what ever I have to.. I also go in august for a stem cell harvest and then eventually within a couple months go for a stem cell transplant which I was told if all goes well it could possibly add another 10-20 years to my life I know people who have had that and lived another 20+ years.. so we are hoping all goes well I have a 10 yr old almost 11 and I just want to see him turn 21 that’s all I ask for.. but only god know the plan so we shall see
Cancer took my big brother within two months of getting a diagnosis. We didn’t have much time to process. Time doesn’t forgive, don’t waste it, make that call, email, plan that lunch date, make time before it’s too late.
The story of Tim and Toby dropping their first albums the same day and both really “growing up” in their careers together makes this dedication from him even more special and heartbreaking. Thank you to one legend for honoring another!

Toby's last show and his singing "don't let the old man in" hits hard for me. I am 65. My Mom passed at 61. My dad passed a year later at 64. My younger sister passed at 61. My oldest brother passed at 66. I have a younger sister and older brother with me yet. When my Dad was dying from leukemia, he bought and rode his horse with me, even though he was in a lot of pain. He tried to the end to not let the old man in.

Tim , Tug and my dad were in the Tampa hospital at the same time back in the 2002 2003 i cant quite remember, theyre both gone now. But i cant hear this song without thinking about both of our dads. Thank you Tim.

He’s right. We never know how much time we have left. My Mom was the healthiest person I knew. Died at 52 with a heart condition she didn’t even know she had until it was too late. My Dad died at 58 of a heart attack. Live your life to the fullest guys. Great tribute. Toby was a great artist & lover of this Country! RIP Toby.
This song always reminds me of my husband. I lost him to cancer at the age of 50 about 9 months ago. Glad he paid tribute to Toby Keith! 💜💜

Update: dad passed away peacefully yesterday the 26/04/2024 surrounded by family, he went out on his own terms with voluntary assisted dying so in the end he beat it… Fuck Cancer!
I am so sorry, my friend was just put into hospice for the same. It's terrible.

Good song. But I think it would have been better if Tim shown pictures of Toby through the year like he did for his dad when he originally did this song.
Things like that takes alot of time to set up with the stage crew. This was all made for toby on the fly.

This . living like your dying. And Toby did. Lived his life though battle with cancer. I am battle cancer myself . I also lost my friend April 2020, and week later Rob n 5 month Sept 2020 lost my mom. All in months of each other. I diagnosed lung cancer copd I have only 1 lung. This makes me want stay living never know when time on 🌎 is gone
