Ive never bought a fms plane that didnt have some kind of quility issue that should have bern cought at the factory. 445 dollers seems to high for a fms when alot better quility can be found in freewing jets. Just bought an avanti s and after buying so many fms i was very impressed with freewing, not a single issue everything fit and lined up perfect!
The FMS SUPER SCORPION 90mm has a fine fit and finish.
Funny as I think the opposite. My avanti seemed like it had sat on the shelf for 4 yrs before I bought it. Landing gear failed on 4th flight. Seemed cheap. Fms on average are great with me. Only disliked the A10 70mm. Flaps were weak

Sweet! The plane is a real nice flyer. It is fast, however it lands very slowly & glides well on zero power. The correct landing speed & not being to hot on final is the key to a good landing with this model.
Wow I’m surprised you didn’t move the linkages closer to the servo like you do in latest videos. Thing seems to be a sweet flyer! Maybe I need one

I know this a old video. Local hobby shop has one the shelf. Now they are no longer available, but would you still recommend. Still has that $450 price tag on it.
Fms do a VERSION 2 scorpion now with inrunner, still the same plane and still available. 🙂

How does this compare to the 90mm ViperJet? You fly both so well :-) Starting to think you can make anything look good! But seriously - how do they compare?

Yes the manual was correct:) Position your lipo so it balances there... you can pretty much just put the battery In an fly it, depending on the weight of your lipo.
Landing gear sounds like the EDF.
Hello .Thank you for your airplanes videos they are great and very helpful.Ihave bought the FMS SUPER SCORPION as the one you have in the video and while i was ready to do the binding with my DX8 Spectrum i have food a problem that could not make me enter in the binding procedure.I found the there is an external bec on this plane an i saw his plug with a ferrite green ring and plug it to an auxiliary channel of my dmnx 6 channels spectrum receiver and the work making blinking the light for binding mode .As i start my transmitter on binding mode when the binding is complete the light of the receiver go off completely and no channels are functioning.I use a 3s lips for this procedure not a 6s .Anyway i can manage the problem .Can you help me please ?Regards from SICILY

I wish I had some good news for you however it was sold by hobby king and it was one of the best products they ever had but they stopped making it. I have asked them many times to carry out again but with no luck.

Did you ever think of opening a RC FLYING TRAINING ACADEMY officially?...This is not a joke and I really mean it. I'm sure that in the rc flying hobby became more and more popular throughout the entire world and It would be nice if there will be a place that we can learn how to fly and understanding all involved equipment and its functions properly for example.. TX & RX setting up in relation to the respective control surfaces. This could be beneficial to all rc enthusiasts around the world.. Why I brought this question to you? Because I can feel all expertise within you after keeps following your videos continuously for a period of time. I'm certain that if you discussed this matter to people in the rc business, they will be prompted to extend their support to you.. and surely I will be one in the first group of students to attend the school and I am glad to pay whatever the tuition fees is.. Because I know you'll never overcharged. Thank you. and Sincerely Yours.
Not a bad idea... I was a FAA flight instructor for many years and could easily put that kind of operation together...It has been attempted before by others but did not last... I dont think there is enough of a market for it...

This thing is a hand full trying to land..it bounces on landing..any help will be appreciated..
You just have to get the speed right. If it is bouncing on landing, your speed is just a little to fast or you are touching down too hard or a combination of both. This plane glides well with power off, & will fly slower than you might think. Just get it as bit slower and touchdown with main wheels first and the bouncing should stop:)

Hello Rich, i had same model with gens ace 5000 mah 45C (700grams), and had to add a lot of nose weight to balance at factory CG. did you experience the same? i had a lot of issues during landings because of the nose weight (nose bounces up)
Same here I added about 5 ozs in nose with gens ace 5000 60c.

If it bounces, your rate of decent in the flare is your high. This is exacerbated by to much airspeed in the flare. Coming in hot and not properly flaring to arrest your decent at touchdown are the primary landing mistakes made with this airplane.

My landing gears is mixing with the ailerons, did you have the same issue?
It’s funny but rc today is nothing but flying. It’s a far cry from build all winter with balsa , covering and glue, then fly. These are more like toys. “ four screws, no glue” hahahahahah
