no amount of length retention is worth not washing your scalp for almost a year. that is skin at the end of the day and needs to be cleaned.
Hello! I was able to use a modified version of the bbb method to maintain a clean scalp! this was done as needed! Thus I did not experience any smells or odors.

Bristle boar brush method is using a 100% boar bristle brush to seal sebum on the hair strand or keep scalp cleanse, other benefits too. However be warned if you’re hair is always defined and never frizzy it will cause frizz and less defined curls also it will make your curls loosen up. I recommend putting oils on damp hair then brushing with controlled brush strokes no more than once a week.

I have scalp dermatitis/dandruff and allergies. If I don’t wash my hair every 4-6 weeks, I’ll be looking like a blizzard 🤢 Even though I wear box braids and such, and use serums, my roots will start to look dusty if I go longer than 6 weeks. If I eat something I’m allergic to, I can start to itch and flake within a day of washing. You’re lucky that you can go that long without washing.

I saw a black woman with hip lenth beautiful hair,she used to silk press her hair ever 4 months. That means that she wear her silk press for 4 months without washing till the next silk press
