Just to let you know as an oculus quest 3 owner I’m not sure but I’m pretty sure the lenses can get broken from the sunlight again I’m not sure about the quest 3 just the quest 2
This is true! The same principles as “burning ants with a magnifying glass” apply to burning your displays with lenses in the direct sunlight. Once it’s on your face though, it’s fine outdoors because no direct sunlight will be on the lens (while it’s on your face). Everyone should be careful with your lenses in sunlight- which is why I’m thankful the Syntech VR bag I used in this video comes with a foam insert to cover the lenses. You’ll notice in the video I quickly put the headset on my face as soon as I took the foam insert off the lenses!
I broken 2 ceiling lights covers but I'd rather break another than ruin the lense outside
