I rule of thumb is to get to know a girl for real at least three months before you consider even a kiss, that way your physical feelings doesn’t shut off your brain. You should know your core values before you start dating, and you should find someone that shares those core values. The guy who doesn’t want any kids or only one shouldn’t even consider going out with the girl who wants three or more. The person who loves to spend, probably can’t handle the person who wants to save and invest. The Christian isn’t even supposed to consider dating the atheist and becoming an equally yoked. And politics aren’t everything, but they literally govern everything so it’s wise to be on the same page with that too. Those are things you can find out over coffee without needing to be in a committed relationship. I would go as far as to say those are things you need to know before you even consider getting into a committed relationship.

And politics aren’t everything, but they literally govern everything so it’s wise to be on the same page with that too. Those are things you can find out over coffee without needing to be in a committed relationship. I would go as far as to say those are things you need to know before you even consider getting into a committed relationship.
