Not sure how people can say Cleo is awful. She makes a pretty valid point as to why she isn't trading lol. This show was filmed during the worst crash sense the great depression. Just about everyone was affected in a really negative way during this time, everyone got hit by the crash pretty harshly. Her point she keeps trying to make to the boss is that she is finding it hard to trade during this time, which she is right. Only the best of the best that really knew their shit would be able to profit during the crash, which is like less than 5%, probably much lower... You have to be a pro to make $ in the market during this time, period. She realized this and that is why she was playing super passive. Then she has everyone telling her to trade and forcing her to trade, which is a recipe for disaster when you start to get emotionally involved in your trades. It's not her fault, she was doing the smart thing and being super careful in a very bad market. The reason the boss was being so dumb and forcing them to trade is because THIS IS A SHOW, and he is basically forced to be dumb so the show would be a hit and he would make his $ from it. If anyone truly things Cleo is awful, you are an idiot and would of done no better than her. I've been trading the market for years, it isn't easy to just pick it up and start profiting. If you are a beginner and decide to jump into the market during a market crash lol, yeah good luck with that.
Arthur Sandomine it’s not stupid cause it’s true. He at least admits to not knowing. Jack shit cause they actually weren’t taught anything. These guys are just an experiment to see who can be the 10% that will profit and who can generate ideas and strategies on how to trade by themselves.
Sadly Mike (army) checked out earlier this year. "Sam, its a bad world..." . I guess it was too. He actually seemed to have the right stuff to have a chance at trading I thought.
I have a really dumb question, why didn't they just simply do the reverse of every position simon put it on? Like tell the broker to do exactly opposite of what simon wants to do.
Yeah! I thought about that as well. I’m guessing it’s out of respect for Simon that Anton didn’t say that, but one of the other traders could have done it!? Maybe it’s a unspoken rule or something?
Most retail brokers do this, as 75%+ of traders lose money. So a lot of retail brokers will just do the opposite trade of all their clients and they will win 75% of the time.
So much better and less stressful to just trade technical analysis at the comfort of your own home, remotely, any time, without a suit, following a rule based strategy and risk management... Much less stress, uncertainty and consistent opportunities, never had to rely on fundamentals. But if it works with fundamentals, absolutely!
I think at that time video has been made, the guy that is obsessed in a ethical value of his investments would be actually the one profiting the most if considering long investments. Of course Hedgefond is daytrading and not investing. But i hope this guy invested back then :)
I would have bet that Simon had the best experience as an IT expert for many years seeing where trading has been heading in the last few years tending to favor all IT-savvy persons who trade because all Greeks, Calls and Puts are being calculated in nanoseconds by machines. Can't believe he did a "Nick Leeson" as his wife warned at the beginning of the first part of these series

If you're watching the price action, going, "Oh no, it's going down. Should I sell now?" that's a huge red flag. You should know exactly where and why you're exiting a trade before you even enter the trade. Take all human element out of it or else you're basically just going off gut instinct, which mostly runs on fear and doubt.

Simons error when he made the Cadbury’s trade was when he said “I’f the world is going to end your grab a Mars bar”!!!! Cadbury’s don’t make Mars Simon come on man.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I thought the same lol. Man invested in the wrong Chocolate.
If the world is ending you grab alcohol 😅
@@alexx123ify Coke
@@jitulvslife03 The one you snort or the one you drink
Simon needs to avoid investing his own money he’d be fucked
ive never seen some be so nice firing people, lex is the man
Simon probably told his friends and family that "he quit" haha
I prefer swingtrading... this month up 49%
This should be an advert for anyone wanting to be a trader. Don't day trade, and keep emotions out of it entirely.
Thanks for posting this Lex, very inspirational series and full of gems for us retail traders.
Thanks Silvio. For me thats what the show was all about
So inspiring!!
Thank do much for taking the risk and doing this program.
Did you guys not go a bit soft on the participants?
@@lexvandamofficial will you ever do this again in the future?

Trading platforms are so much nicer now. Imagine the future
Maybe she should have jus traded just a little, otherwise there was no reason for her to be there.
@43:38 "Nothing's unbelievable if you don't know what you are doing" :-D
The most stupid thing said in the whole series!!!
Arthur Sandomine it’s not stupid cause it’s true.
He at least admits to not knowing. Jack shit cause they actually weren’t taught anything.
These guys are just an experiment to see who can be the 10% that will profit and who can generate ideas and strategies on how to trade by themselves.
That killed me
@@arthursandomine5464 it's not stupid at all...
The simon indicator strategy.
Keep simon next to you. Whatever position he is taking - go for the opposite. Take profits.
"A computer program will run forever"!
Caroline is amazing :)
She wants to make it on her own but is always crying
relaxing video, will watch it at bedtime :)
Sadly Mike (army) checked out earlier this year. "Sam, its a bad world..." . I guess it was too. He actually seemed to have the right stuff to have a chance at trading I thought.
Where'd you hear that?
Fancy paying for another series Lex????
Simon should have gone long on Kelloggs
Bravo!
Nowadays the entire team could long AMC and GME, buy crypto and gold, silver and copper, long the Vix and buy put options on growth stonks. Job done.
Exactly what I thought
you dont just countertrade everything blindly. hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20
skliu 😂😂😂😂this got me
Most retail brokers do this, as 75%+ of traders lose money. So a lot of retail brokers will just do the opposite trade of all their clients and they will win 75% of the time.
As far as investing goes, just buying every company that you like is actually the best thing you can do. Randomness wins in equities investing.
Last episode Anton was 27 this episode 29 thats called exponential growth :D
umer zeeshan They said he retired at 27. Then he traveled for 14 months and then got a call from Lex about the show. Sounds about right.
Fundamentals are important, but we also like technicals as many people do. A combination of both is best, in our experience
Word!! 🙌🏻👌🏻
25:04 pretty much sums up the entire show
Simon could be a character in "The office" tv show. Suggesting he come back for drinks to celebrate himself after getting sacked is quite odd. xD
I think at that time video has been made, the guy that is obsessed in a ethical value of his investments would be actually the one profiting the most if considering long investments. Of course Hedgefond is daytrading and not investing. But i hope this guy invested back then :)
This show has me hook, line and sinker!!!
"We really appreciate each other, and that's great" 😂😂
23:00 that guy's reaction on the phone is priceless haha
Yyuueahhhhh
I should’ve been on that show. I would’ve been Lex’s top performer
You would probably have been like Simon
I would have bet that Simon had the best experience as an IT expert for many years seeing where trading has been heading in the last few years tending to favor all IT-savvy persons who trade because all Greeks, Calls and Puts are being calculated in nanoseconds by machines. Can't believe he did a "Nick Leeson" as his wife warned at the beginning of the first part of these series
Come on Lex, do a new series

If you're watching the price action, going, "Oh no, it's going down. Should I sell now?" that's a huge red flag. You should know exactly where and why you're exiting a trade before you even enter the trade. Take all human element out of it or else you're basically just going off gut instinct, which mostly runs on fear and doubt.
He was so happy when Simon quit
I watch these type of competition and laugh at mistakes as well as humor and I quickly realize how fortunate such individuals are, I would give anything to have such a chance it would mean a lot to me
