I did this trail with my dad in the late 80's. We went clockwise, which gave me the chance to shorten or three days to the smaller loop. It was a great idea. We had a cow moose go through and we were certain that a black bear blocked our path, until we figured out that it was a tree stump next to the deeply shaded path. Thanks for bringing us such joy.
What an epic Hike beautiful section in Algonquin loved the waterfall's , the trail and place you chose to set up camp we are so privledge to have these peaceful areas to escape into the beauty of nature away from the crowds and people in general. You are blessed to have that van for sure if it's raining you have a place to lay your head comfortably as well as in in comfort . have to love being one with nature. Thank's Tosh for bringing us all along with you appreciate that and the video. be safe Tosh. and keep up the adventures . Ontario, Canada
September is a great time for hiking for sure. Dad and I will be hiking around Silent Lake this week. He’s in way better shape than I, however I’m really looking forward to it. Bummer about your camera, good you didn’t get hurt. Thanks for sharing!!
Tosh, I'm new to your channel. You're the first person I've found who really shows us how it feels to be where you are. I love it. Please, keep 'em comin'!
Great scenery as always!! We always do walking tacos after a long day of kayaking! It’s become a tradition in our family! Love the van set up, absolutely gives you more flexibility! Great content as always, thanks for sharing!
Tosh; thank you for this one. You make beautiful wilderness scenery videos. Your work is very good and among the best coming out of Ontario. I watch all of your trips. Looking forward to the fall/winter trips. Best regards to you. Greg / CT USA
I seen a lot of canoeing trips in Algonquin but not as many hiking trips. I really enjoyed this videos and the trails looked nice. I feel like a trip there has to be on my bucket list and a hike might be a good way to ease into it, especially outside of bug season!
I really enjoyed your hiking video beautiful where you're at with all those trees I live in the high desert in California next to the Pacific Crest trail next to the Mexican border wish we had that many trees out here😊👍
The music in the beginning was fantabulous!!! But all the music in this video was great. Also, loved the foot prints marking your path. Now for the important part....how far south are you going? Sorry for your fall but at least you weren't hurt.
Tosh, I’ve seen several UA-camrs who either own a specialized trekking pole that has a camera mount already on it or, they have modified a regular trekking pole to mount their camera on. I understand the numerous benefits to having your camera on an actual tripod. I was just offering up an alternative/additional solution. Since your fall, I think your camera is now identifying as a GoPro. That would explain the focusing issues 😆 PS. I love the boot prints on the map 👍🏻
Nice laid-back video Tosh, you're definitely not in shape lot of huffing and puffing pity about your camera hope it isn't too expensive to get fixed. Love the, calm lakes and beautiful red foliage, I half expected to see a Bigfoot or the mystery wolf.
*_Hello.... honestly, you are really cool, sir, you were taken by vehicle and then hiked to the camping location in the highlands of Algonquin Park with solo hiking and camping. I like your style of adventure.... Greetings to meet me, Rudy Tutorial Outdoor from Indonesia_* 🚐👣⛰🏕💯👌👍👏🤝🙏

That’s a great memory to have. Thanks for sharing it.
This whole place is magnificent! Watching this just makes me feel good, bravo for this upload my friend!
Thank you very much!
I just got back from a trip on this trail yesterday! The scenery was gorgeous with the fall colours.
It really is!

Yes, I think it's speeding up the vid production too, which is a big thumbs up!
So cool!
Great video Tosh. That van is amazing. I’ve done that trail many years ago. You had good weather. Thanx for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi Tosh! Thanks for sharing your adventures

That’s a good place to start. There are many great trails in Algonquin and early spring or fall is an awesome time to be out there.
Man!! That sucks about your camera!! The hike looked great!! Great camp spot as well!! Cheers!! J & C
All fixed and back in action. Cheers. 🍻

It’s a beautiful place but I’m sure the high desert can be beautiful as well.
@@toshselfpropelled yes it is I go hiking with my dogs every morning 🌄🤗
What a beautiful hike! Sorry about the camera and tripod....that sucks! But you still got some awesome footage!
Thank you. It was a fun little trip.

Not sure yet. I don’t have much of a plan right now.

I’ve been looking at doing that with the trekking pole. It would definitely simplify things.
Damn Tosh sorry about the cam! I’m interested to know what your solution is. Looks like a great hike regardless
Fix was retry easy. Just a bit of GFlex epoxy and it’s good to go. Cheers Evan.
What an awesome hike. Sorry about the camera. I usually eat frito pie but forito pie sounds great.
Camera was pretty easy to fix. I like the Fritos too!
Great stuff 🖐😎👍🛶
Thanks 👍

Seeing Bigfoot would have made for a good video!!!
That was great 👍🏻
What shoes are those?? They look comfy
Thanks Ray. Altra Lone Peak.
@@toshselfpropelled 👍🏻
Are you still in the region. Would love to meet and say hi
Not currently.
This must have been Sep 17/18ish??
20/21 I think
I was judging the dates based on the moon phases! Waxing crescent moon.
Weird to see you hiking without a boat on your head
I felt a little weird without the boat.
The whole video is one long arse portage?
Hiking kinda feels that way!!
