It's a very good tip to keep a clean and dry toilet brush. Love the idea!
I really like your videos because you don’t go on rabbit trails while giving step by step instructions, you just say it! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you very much. The drywall screen worked amazing. My toilet looked like terrible. This was a quick and cheap fix. Your the best.
That is fantastic! Thank you for letting me know how well it worked! Now that it is clean, it is SOOO much easier to maintain!!

Where did you get the drywall screen?? I looked online but all I found was a drywall screen sander. Which is not correct.
Hi, I did find an easier way to deal with mineral deposits and build up. I use muriatic acid, or pool acid. But ever so sparingly. It is caustic and dangerous. Plus you don't want to breath in the fumes or get it on your skin. Maybe a half cup in the toilet and your done. Let is sit, then I use my toilet brush to scrub the bowl and let it sit for hours if possible? then flush.
@@VintageJunker Thanks for your quick reply, but that won’t work for me unfortunately. My skin is way too sensitive so that will most likely cause a medical issue. 😩Don’t really feel like wearing a hazmat suit just to clean the toilet. Any chance you remember where you found the drywall screens? Thanks.
Please, everyone reading try The Works toilet bowl cleaner it costs $1.44 at walmart. This stuff is amazing. I tried pumice stones and vinegar, way too much work. Squirt The Works in the bowl brush with nylon brush. I was blown away. I will keep spreading this info.
Thank you so much for the tip.
You know there some things even worse than this if you don't believe it please check out : Dr. Bill Warner & ApologeticsActs17 on youtube! serious sh!t going on!
I agree. I buy the"Works" at my local Dollar store for $0.99 cents. It works! Hahaha
Thank you, will look for that! I had a hip replacement, and after months of not being able to bend over or
kneel, my toilet rim has all kinds of wierd deposits. Mineral, I think. I have scrubbed with every scrubber
I can find/buy, but that rim looks scary! Will update after I try that.
@@lindaincolorado2646 update?
Great tips, I found that large grit sandpaper worked well too !
Thank you!!!! Happily Subscribed. (Plus I’ll tell all my friends!)
Incredibly helpful! Tyvm.. lol. I actually just picked up what I now see is a pumice stone. Saw it in Walmart and it sounded like it just might work. Been busy and not had time to try but now motivated. Lol
Former cleaning lady here. I used to do this too. If you have really hard water, this way is just a pain. Get Lysol extra strength toilet bowl cleaner instead. Let it sit (I forgot about it for an hour). ALL the hard water build up will easily come off with your normal toilet brush. DON'T FORGET TO CLEAN YOUR
Did you know that when you’re wearing rubber gloves like that you should fold the cuff up once so that when you are scrubbing something the water doesn’t run back on your clothes or your skin ?
Thanks Maurice - that's clever!
Hi Amy, nice to see reply. What is your ritual for cleaning the toilet?
Awesome! I use Pumice, but need more. Just ordered Fine Screen! Yay! Thanks very much, Amy❤️
How do you get rid of mold inside of the rim ?
Sorry what was level 2? I didn't quite catch it
No gloves. Just wash your hands ha... Pumice stone works great and you can buy the one on the stick. Don't go too hard it snaps.
Use a pressure washer or a shower or garden hose on a jet setting and it will literary blast away any dirt, but you have to be careful where you aim.
All the dry wall screen I could find was metal. I would think metal would scratch porcelain. Is there such a thing as a plastic dry wall screen?
Yes, but most of them are yellow or black
Nope..ioan wanna be that close to gunk..I can't visually handle it. What's an alternative?
Pay someone to do it...
What about cleaning the brush by putting it under water and let it soak.
Thank you! I really like the tip of drying the brush after. I clean homes for a living and some of my customers toilet brushes and the holders well are disgusting. It drives me crazy! Maybe if I could get them to do this in between my visits it would help with spreading the bacteria. I'd like to just buy them all new brushes and holders!! Hahaha! 1st time here and I'm subscribing.
You could buy it on dollar tree and put it on their bathroom as a 🎁.
so helpful thank you
Thank you!
The only problem using these things as they scrape off the porcelain
I've not had that experience, and we've used this method at home for 20 years as well as at my place of business. I do stress the need to use water the entire time, so perhaps that led to a problem?
I AM SURE THAT WEARING A REAL OR FAKE DIAMOND NECKLACE WILL ENHANCE THE JOB.
Glaze will be destroyed mam
Anyone else had your mouth open and got some in your mouth using the dry wall screen? Yeah me either.
😂
NOOOO!!!!! I'll bet you don't do it twice?? I loathe learning the hard way!
OMG!!! I love you. Is that weird? lol Thank you so much for this video.
Thank you for watching... and for the compliment :)
Wish I looked that gorgeous while cleaning my toilet!!
MG W Well get your pretty outfit on, do your hair and makeup and get ready for this very special cleaning!

Think I will stick with bleach , toilet cleaner and toilet brush
Sounds great! If it works for you, that's super!
Hi Suzanne, some toilet cleaner are made from acid, so try to be careful, because u might never mix acid with bleach, but there are also toilet cleaner made with bleach, so just check it :)

Maybe YOU have a need to put on makeup, jewelry, and cocktail clothes to clean the BR but I just take The Works product and squirt it into the bowl. DONE! NOW, I can go glamify!
LOL! You are very fortunate to live in a place that has manageable mineral deposits and not dealing with a neglected toilet with a 1/2 inch of nasty buildup. Gross, right?! The Works is a great product and can be used in conjunction with the drywall screen and pumice to get in the narrow crevice under the rim. Wardrobe Saving Sidenote: If I were demonstrating The Works, I would not wear black jeans and a black sweater (or cocktail attire) since it contains bleach... As for makeup? I wish I had YOUR confidence, youth, and/or skin care regimen! I step into my bathroom complete with the typical HD camera and bright lighting, and it just makes ME want to cover MY wrinkles and age spots while I help the toilets of the world stay shiny! #happycleaning
@@aubyryan, I feel you might be overthinking a lighthearted response to my wearing makeup for a tutorial on cleaning a toilet. However, I've never compared my nearly 25-year career pursuing excellence in the cleaning industry to that of a monk, nor have I felt my pursuit of cleanliness is pathological. Still, you've certainly given me something to think about. Now about the tattoos and implants? I don't know how you could see such things? I recommend focusing on the toilet cleaning tips since that should be why you clicked in the first place. #happycleaning
I dry my toilet bowl brush by hanging it in my wife's closet...
