    Hmmm... The toilet looks the same at end of the video as it does at the beginning. I'd like to see this technique done on a toilet that is actually dirty.

    Hot Tip: If you want to get the surface stains off of the inside of your toilet bowl, you just need to spray a good amount of "Bar Keepers Friend Spray + Foam Cleaner" into your toilet, let the foaming action do its thing, and you will have a white toilet in no time.

      You should never mix vinegar with bleach; it releases chlorine gas. Chlorine gas is extremely dangerous to human health

    So this can remove calcium deposits without me draining my toilet? I have a gross calcium deposit in the hole and corner of the hole of my toilet and I’ve been watching videos on how to get rid and they all said to drain them add whatever cleaning agent. But if I don’t have to do that then that’s a bonus

  • @valiredavis2534
    @valiredavis2534 2 роки тому +9

    😊 .. Baking soda & ketchup works best for me. - I have tried several different chemical cleaners that failed and were not good to be inhaling; especially for people like me who have a lung disorder.
    When I did my toilet, I drained all the water out and turned it off, then I put on rubber gloves & used a sponge for getting every bit of the water that was left behind out of the bottom before I added anything to it, then I used a paper towel to dry the bottom really good.
    👉🏾 .. If you leave water in the toilet before apply the solution, you are diluting / weakening the power of the solution.
    Ketchup (which has vinegar in it too & acid that is in tomatoes) & baking soda, very EASILY removes old tarnish from silver & other metals, so it is strong enough to handle toilet stains, too
    Mix the baking soda (maybe 3/4 of a cup) with the ketchup in a plastic cup…enough ketchup to make a wet paste, but not soupy.. kinda thick, then apply it to the bottom of the inside of the toilet &/or where the stains are and let it sit for maybe 4 hours. - Make sure that the stains are not covered thin enough where you can see the porcelain…so, you might need to mix a little more together for having a thick covering.
    Do this it you have a 2nd toilet to use & when others are not home…it could work faster than 4 hours depending on the condition of the stain. - Try scrubbing it after 2 hrs, if it was not left on long enough then repeat all the steps that I mentioned earlier.
    Then put your gloves back on & scrub the stains by hand with a scratchy. - Mine looked awful until I did it this way this. 😃

    DARN!!! I want this to work but it hasn't. First the fizzing action shown with the baking soda mixed with vinegar doesn't happen very much. 2nd, the srubbing removed very little of the mineral stain in the bowl track. DARN@

    I just used some plain cheap vinegar (label said 5% acid), no soda to bubble/weaken the vinegar acid. The lime is already "alkaline" so the acid vinegar better combines and dissolves.
    Be sure to rinse/wipe all the vinegar off/away from any surfaces when done however. Ya never know what might touch that area next (when cleaning the rest of the house).

    This does not work at all on deep stains from thick calcium deposits caused by very hard water (ppm 300-500). The foaming action she shows is just the acid of the vinegar reacting with the alkali of the baking soda to create table salt and heat. A toilet bowl as clean she shows could be quickly cleaned with Ajax or Comet, and CLR if about 10 times worse.

    • @Britishgundogtraining
      @Britishgundogtraining 10 місяців тому

      You need to use more for longer, the two mixed together make carbonic acid , which then reacts with hard water deposits making them soluble, if it’s not removed it all it’s because the chemicals where used up and no more was left to continue the reaction in which case repeat , but it does work regardless of the parts per million it doesn’t change the mineral composition, but yeah I agree what happened in the video was pure over kill but then it is you tube 🤷‍♂️
