I literally said to myself the other day I hope AdamHeart gets his hands on this early so I can see his review. My pre-order is in can't wait to get mine!
Thanks for the review Adam. Looking forward to holding it in my hands soon hopefully!
#1 fan. High five.
Great review. Cheers, mate!
Hi Adam. Awesome vid and very informative. I have a question about it. Did you notice any flex at all while driving? I run quite a lot of FFB and some wheels i have flex like crazy , especially the Simagic FX PRO.
Thanks for the review.
1. Can you create and save profiles and switch between them quickly.
2. Can you brighten or dim all the led on the wheel all at once.
Yes to both questions
this review made me cancel my simagic neo gt preorder and now placed an order for the grid mpx! it really does look like the perfect vr wheel
Thanks for the review. Love the simplicity and depth of the wheel.
I've pre-ordered both the MPX and the GSI Hyper P1. I look forward to comparing and contrasting them.
thank you so much for the video. sold my GSI x FPE and made the order today. so excited!
did you ever get to upload your led profile?
Yes, but it had a few issues. I'm currently using a modified version of the one Mike Z posted in Discord
Your brakes are always dragging. Awesome wheel. This might be my ticket out of Moza and into a simucube.
24:55 Cosworth CCW Mk2 is at least 6 years old and has it, they probably copied the idea from them. Is it that good for the extra cost and the wear (it's not possible to replace it)?
Great review man. I’ve just purchased mine too man!
Great video! Which headset/mic are you using ?
Beyerdynamic DT790PV I believe is the model
I’d consider it if I had not already blown a few mortgage payments on Ascher/Sim Racing Bay gear (no regrets) 😅 I like wireless I currently have but would easily go usb as it allows more inputs/clutches. Great review, enjoy Adam!
New simucube wireless 2 technology allows clutches and more inputs … they already have wireless clutch wheels out
@@philrob4468 oh very cool! Thanks for that info, I haven’t read up on the latest updates. Now I need to hide my cc!
Really curious, what is that QR you're using? Looks amazing, thanks!
Krontec. Completly overkill and overpriced for sim racing. Sim Lab makes a replica that is just as good for 1/3 the price.
@@AdamHeart Thank you, sir!
Thank you very much for this video, very informative . Can you tell me what racing gloves you're using in this video please?
Moradness gloves. Dan is a great guy, and seriously fast racer.
@@AdamHeart Thx
Why did you get this when over a Cube Controls F-Pro? They seem similar in a lot of ways.
Great question. I've had a few Cube wheels in the past and while they have always been good, I just never found them great. I know a few people who absoutly love the new Cube F-Pro, so I've ordered one for review. I feel it's the closest option to the MPX and I want to give folks an honest opinion.
What a beautiful wheel, and great review again adam! :)
Btw: let me know when you decide to sell your pse lm ps hahaha
Deal!
@@AdamHeart will you use the mpx for now instead of your porsche cup wheel? With your collection it has to be a super hard decision which one to drive haha
Hmm, i was never aware this existed! And I've been looking to upgrade my sim gear for over a year. I just ordered Moza R5.
Great review. I'm strongly considering this wheel and the simline 720s. Do you know the weight of the MPX? Thanks
Sorry, I don't have a scale that could properly weigh it. I am getting one though and I'll try to remember to reply once it's here.
Thanks man. The other wheel I'm considering is the real 992 GT3 R. I signed up for news and release date info but I have no idea when it will be released and what the price may be.
@@hamiltonsmith8985 I was just on the phone with the AurigaDrive people today. They saw my Porsche wheel video and wanted to talk about the sim racing version. I'll have more info in a future video
@@AdamHeart amazing. I think I need to wait until I have more info on the GT3 R wheel before deciding on that or the MPX. Thanks!
@@AdamHeart fyi the MPX weight confirmed by Brandon at grid is 1700g
Are the button caps covered in stickers or do they have graphics printed on them?
Decals that you'll have to apply. Grid includes a sheet with lots of options to choose from
Does it work with the fanatec podium hub on ps5?
No
God dammit, I’m a VR driver too - seems too good to be true!
Do you know what model number those main rotary encoders are? 👏👏👏👏
I know they are Elma rotaries, but I don't know the specific model.
What’s the depth of the spacer on the back of the wheel?
50mm
Thanks Brandon! Will be using with a Fanatec podium hub so was concerned with the extra length.
and it possible to choose our own key color and that its remains fixed?
Yes. The LEDs are controlled with SimHub. I won't be keeping the colors you see in the video and I'll share my LED profile in the Grid Discord
what does the WIP button mean?
Windshild wiper
Does it support BeamNG?
Lol what a question
BeamNG is the perfect sim for when I just want to have a strange time and get a good laugh out of it. Love all the fun stuff you can do with it. But yes, the wheel is USB so as long as you can connect it to a PC and connect it to a wheelbase, you're good to go.
I really did watch this video too much
$1,049 for a wheel with no screen is out the question.
very expensive wheel without a screen lmao, that wheel should cost 400 not a 1000
You truly have no clue then about material quality and parts
Yes you can get a screenless wheel for much cheaper but it won’t have ELMA rotaries, multiple expensive APEM/Otto P9, full aluminium and carbon construction and multiple Rgb leds
What Ben said.
Cube controls F pro €860
Ascher racing F28-SC €750
Gomez Sim Industries GXL pro $875
I can keep going. You're not going to find boutique high end sim wheels for $400. You must be thinking of mass market companies like Moza. Besides not everyone wants a screen on their wheel, especially if you use VR or already have a dash.
these type of comments show immediately that this person has never attempted a DIY project from scratch. Granted a lot of the MPX design was already done by Cosworth but still, making it work for the increased diameter, and making the internals takes a lot of time. Not to mention the hardware chosen. Otto P9's are like $12 each.
