@Farpoint Farms when the snow is wet on the bottom it pulls any loose stones up and in the augers. The first time I had mine out, I used almost all the shear pins. I purchased a 20 pack and of course now I only use a couple per year give or take. I have a 24 inch 3 stage and I use it mostly for walk ways and making a pathway to the propane tank and bird feeders. It works great for all that as long as it is not soupy. Good luck with your's. I waisted money on the cab for mine. I am a little to tall for it. When it's ice cold and powder it's good but as soon as it starts turning wet it sticks to the plastic windshield and your kinda done. The heated grips are nice but they only work well when the engine at high rpms. Keep warm!
This is the first year is who know how long that we have not had snow. Maybe this thing was just what we needed for no snow. If that is the case, I will get one every year! The snow is pretty but it kinds sucks
@@FarpointFarms Well its only for a short time in ur case then.... the Polar vortex is bringing more snow ur way... and global warming is a lie cos all i see is global freezing everywhere.... in Au we r getting snow in the middle of summer in the southern east coast ranges and including Tasmania, all caused by the suns activity not humans..... so keep preppin and lets see some blow action when snow finally covers ur ground by a foot or 2.... muahahahaha
Is there no plug for electric start?
You plug an extension cord into the starter- there is no external plug that comes with it
have the same unit and its awesome period
Glad to hear that, I am still waiting on real snow to use it. This year has been so weird without the snow
would you recomend one of these to someone who doesnt have one?
Depends on the size and type of your driveway. It works VERY well, but it's not as fast as a plow for ultra long drives like mine (1600 Feet).
How long did it take you to assemble it?
About an hour, but I also filmed it so that slows things down.
Your tires seem to be installed in reverse. The thread shud point forward. Overall nicely done.
Good catch!
Looks good! Can't wait to see it perform.
This is the first year that it has not snowed here in the mountains. It is so weird! I think mother nature is just saving up for a doozy
The nice thing about coming with the correct amount of oil in a container is, you can label the "jug" for future reference!
good point, but I would forget that I had one just for that machine. My memory is not what it used to be
Buy more shear pins now especially if you are on a stone driveway.
I know- The goal of mine is not to run over anything other than snow. But I can't see it if there is a ton of snow on the ground.

I would start and run it for 20 minutes and dump the oil and replace it with a good grade of oil for when the white stuff comes.
I do with any new engine. The break in oil is just for that, breaking in the engine. I will change it once a year or so as needed.
BTW he is still waiting for a dumping of snow to test them out....... muahahahahahaha TFF
