If you have contacts or can't be bruised for work =cheek/nose bar. If you get nosebleeds easily=nose bar. If you get cuts easily or one tends to head butt= 1 person with open face. Otherwise do not use a head guard. They actually make you easier to hit and transfer more force especially from hooks and limit your vision. No headguard is actually safer and Research has shown this.
I have the pointed traditional in the purple color way. It takes maybe a few sparring sessions to break in but after that it’s very comfortable at least for my dome.
I only do a bit of occasional sparring, those Cleto Reyes numbers are way to expensive for me. Anyone got any recommendations for anything a bit cheaper?
Dumb question here: I'm completely blind since birth in my right eye. Can I even spar? What headgear could I wear? IDC about bruises or broken noses but I guess the bar would be best?
my favorite is no head guard 😂

Ultimately, boxing is just cheek protecting both ways

Bar head guards are appealing until the uppercut
Thats why you keep your chin tucked in
@@OneHighZen try tuck the bar? 🤦♂️
@@conor7179 whatever man ! Keep your hands up and keep your chin tucked if possible.
@@OneHighZen great advice 👍
@@OneHighZen you are one smart guy!
