I have an almost identical wood box, the inlay on mine is a little different but the carving is spot on. Enjoy seeing Guy work the job. Thumbs up for you, kind sir.
I like how quickly he seperates this stack. This is a man that's seen some good stuff you can tell how quickly he shuffles trough the piles. He not impressed. That's what makes him the COIN GUY
I've been collecting since 1962. I remember my mom giving me Walker half dollars for lunch as lunch at school in those days was 25 cents so that would be for 2 days lunch. I remember on day she gave me a 1916 S walker with the S on the obverse. It was in VG8 condition. And many other old walkers but just getting into collecting I was focusing on Lincoln pennies. Some years latter I obtained another 1916 S walker in fine condition. Also snagged a 1921 walker and a BU 1917.
I called him to find out the price on a coin that I had been looking for and he had it and he gave me the best price out of about 20 coin Shops, and the price was like $200 cheaper than the rest, this Guy is great and very Trust worthy which you don't find no more.
Been collecting ,since 1980. ,,If I don't know the dealer ,or it's a new dealer ,,I take 4 coins one worth over ten thousand dollars ,,the other 3 just bullion coins ,,95% say all just bullion coins ,,but will give you 5/10 % above ,,ye.lls you all you need to know 🤔
I would love to buy a silver peace dollar, from this man. I absolutely love hearing you both talk about all these different coins. The coin guy,is an actual coin wizard.
More than 40 years ago I was a regular at my favorite LCS. First name basis with the owner and primary employee (actually a relation). I spent hours picking through their bargain boxes, and have hundreds of obscure coins as a result. Not to mention a significant amount of silver bought at less than $8/oz. Had to grumble about $1/oz premiums, heh! You serious? Gonna charge me a dollar over spot? The good old days.
I respect this dealer because I wouldn't spend so much time appraising coins without a guarantee of making a deal. I'd start with maybe the first ten coins, try to make a deal on them, and if successful I'd look at ten more and make a deal. Etc.
In England a company called vintage cash cow assessed my coin collection just over one hundred poungs I said no.went to coin dealer in York England three hundred and fifty pounds .not a lot of difference.eh
So how do I find an appraiser? A trusted one … I have a medium collection and most are like Indian head pennies , shield and buffalo nickel’s some gold … and lady liberty silver dollars … and some old foreign currency coins I picked up while I was getting shipped all over the world with Uncle Sam ! I mean I’m getting old my kids have no interest… but I looked up a few on google and some have a large value . I’d like to get an appraisal from someone honest ! But I’ve looked at some and in the comments most people say they were ripped off … there’s a lifetime of history in these coins to me and I’d hate to not get what they’re worth.
Hi my mom is interested in selling her coins but I don’t know where or how to begin searching for a reputable site. Where are you from? We are in the lower southern tip of Texas
I found a 2005 nickel trash picking, it was in a plastic case in mint condition but I can't find out is it a miss print, just wondering what is so special about it
Coin Guy and his apprentice. How much work you could save yourself if one melted down all the coin corpses. We in Europe do this here after every war. Every few decades.
@@DaCoinAddict No. Not rare. Minted hundreds of millions. No MM means it was minted in Philadelphia. Da copper in it is worth about 3 cents. Do some research before askings questions.
I have to ask, other than skimming thru almost 100 coins for 'Key' Dates or for coins in exceptionally great condition, obvious to the glance of an eye (not counting nickels or pennies), do you actually believe this man carefully Graded and assigned a value to each and every individual coin he looked at, and then memorized all that data in his head? Do you not find it strange that he mentioned an approximate value of about $800.00 for what he already looked at? There were approximately 100 coin flips in the box when he quoted that figure. At that day's spot silver price that would be about 33oz of silver. There are 36.1696 troy ounces of silver in 100 silver Franklin half dollar(s), or $868.00 worth. When this friend of yours 'Buys' he has no interest in 'Grades' nor 'Numismatic' values, but once purchased at a discounted silver spot price, he never misses the opportunity to mention 'Grades' or 'Rarities' when describing his items, even to you.. does he not? Your old Pal.. Dan
I watched my coin dealer rob a widow, trying to sell her dead husbands coin, and silver collection. He gave her $300 for about $3000 worth of coins, and ounces.I told him after she left, "I'll give you $600 right now for it. He laughed, and said "no way".
Sooo weird how coin 🪙 appraisal has kind of changed , i got a PCGS 2021 d pf 70 fdoi Morgan from mint at release for what , 85$, was shocked when I saw on my APMEX portfolio that it skyrocketed ⬆️ to $1,500.00 about a year after release!!!
Thanks SpegTacular and thanks to Coin Guy! Merry Christmas to both of you and your families!
Merry Christmas, Jim! 🎄

I still have mine. It’s a slight bit smaller though.
@@Spegtacular They are made in India, very common all over the world. Nice boxes for coins, jewelry etc. Greets from GER, U.
Love these. Everyone needs a Coin Guy locally
Back in the day, all us hippies had boxes like that. Merry Christmas to Speg, Guy and Families 🎄🎅
Marry Christmas 🎄
I can't tell you how many times I've seen that done at coin shops. Thanks!
Nice of Guy to let us sit in on a collection he might purchase, how he works and answering questions 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!

I got one of the those boxes as well, with world coins in, from my grandma.
Awesome!
That box is the exact same as 2 different collections I've bought
Great behind the scenes video, Merry CHRISTmas, GOD BLESS, Keep Stackin Bros
Can tell when Coin Guy is focused. Merry Christmas!

Great seeing a Christmas Guy and Speg film. Happy Christmas guys and to everyone 🌲🎁

I really wish you could give a full video of one deal all the way through, with all the numbers and coins in the video❤! Live coin dealing.
Just finished one piece of gold for 12 months was really fun to do that starting in 2023 today
That’s awesome! So happy for you.
Very interesting indeed 👌
Merry Christmas to you and Guy and your families and a Happy New Year.

Out of all those coins which one was your favorite? Because that's a lot of Super Awesome Coins!
Coin Guy!!
This is the hard part of buying collections....
Imagine appraising pm amalgam-based bullion, business strike, and non business strike coinage when silver goes three figures and gold goes .....
You should make a video about those boxes. That would give visibility for the sale and maybe opportunities for watchers.
It would be Very interesting to see what he would appraise certain coins at
I noticed that he wasn't even looking for individual marks from mistakes on the Queen's as he was checking-in

Awesomeness gentlemen 😊❤😊
I wouldn't leave my coin collection with anyone to look over without me around
He didn’t leave it with “anyone” he left it with THE “Coin Guy”
Anyone including the coin guy
My wife and I each have that box from when we were kids!
How do you assign silver value to a slick coin like that 1917 walker without weighing it?
I have Indians 5rs coin precious collections album. Since 1992 to 2023 year's.
Christmas time... He took it. 🎄

1 question why is there channel guidelines
I could buy an old wooden cigar box or two!!!💰💰
I found a 2005 nickel trash picking, it was in a plastic case in mint condition but I can't find out is it a miss print, just wondering what is so special about it
I hear those worn-smooth coins have their own market and value.

His pricing is private?! Why would that be private?
What's the going price to appraise a Bunch of coins
Depends on the dealer. Sometimes it’s nothing.
Sounded like a New Yorker but definitely North East
I just found a 1936 penny no mint mark seem ultra rare and unique is on my profile picture Is it worth anything?
@@DaCoinAddict No. Not rare. Minted hundreds of millions. No MM means it was minted in Philadelphia. Da copper in it is worth about 3 cents. Do some research before askings questions.

It did not look like exactly the best coin collection, more likely just silver bullion. Nothing special.

Junk silver welcome on the scale for scrap value.

Never take your coin collection to a dealer he'll only give you 10 cents on the dollar for it
Coin broker

I never sell to a Coin dealer you’re already down 15 to 20% just by walking in there door
Good luck finding someone who will pay that much for it!
