Oh, I love this place. I go shopping here in a regular basis. I sit at the park with my coffee and relax. I often pick up Cannolis from Mike’s pastrt I remember the old assembly Square mall I believe that opened around 1980 if I’m not mistaken. And I remember when Saks Cinema was open next to that. I think that cinema was torn down like eight or nine years ago. I remember seeing the Raiders of the lost Ark on opening day there. That was pretty exciting. So many changes so many things. I remember when this was quite underdeveloped and there used to be a place called good Times, sort of near where the Home Depot is a little Plaza. It had a load of notoriety with it, but it was fun while it lasted A much prefer the assembly Square area when it was underdeveloped because there were some really nice places to sit and relax and full nature, but it’s OK. Thank you for a great video.
Yes there used to be the Assembly Square Mall there with a theater across the street. I saw many movies there over the years. Return of the Jedi, E.T. T2 etc. Good Times was a regular spot to shoot some pool with friends or play some video games. All that long gone now but I do like the area as it is today, it seems like this type of development is taking over where some of the old malls were. Arsenal Yards in Watertown is another example.
Great video! You should do a biking video starting in Assembly Row. My siblings and I always start there, go through Baxter park, along shore drive, then past PaddleBoston which takes you alongside 93 northern into Medford. Pretty cool and there are a lot of detours you can take into Everett or the Wellington area 👍
i Liked Somrville tanks, great video👌

Cool, I'll look into that. I didn't realize you could go that far from Baxter Park.
Yes, I was surprised when I realized how far you can bike. It's one of my favorite routes when I just want to do a quick-ish ride.
Who was yelling in the background?
There was someone holding a sign across the street, possibly protesting but I'm not sure.
