- Thank you to all of you for getting me to over 10,000 subscribers! For this, i decided to make a Black MIDI with exactly 1,111,111 notes.
DL: www.mediafire.c...
And the Q&A video will be done the day after Christmas. so keep those questions coming!
Fun fact: This midi is actually a revived project. The beginning melody was created before i made 9k!
TheSuperMarioBros2 Awesome! You just made my day. Keep making amazing black midis! 4 me it's not just some song, it's art and could be as well standing in a modern art exhibition.
This is a great black midi! Beautiful!
Your 10k is a great xmas present, thank
🎶 Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to - wait shit wrong song. Uhhhh 🎶 I wish you a merry oh fuck it merry Christmas *leaves*
Amazing! Sadly i was late for saying my Christmass or end of the year augurations. :(
Anyways this is one of the best Christmass presents i had! :)
Keep up the good work man!
Side note: I would totally love an extended version of this black midi. :P
This is a juicy crispy manifestation of black midi
ps, loved the melody isolation in the middle of the video!
Eyo gingy ! Merry xmas !
Happy holidays~
***** o_o papa gingy noticed me
You're just too good. I compose/arrange a song and I'm thinking "I've got him on this one..."
And then you upload something like this.
Great job
you give me satisfaction in life
I don't know what I'd do without him ;.; :D
Merry Christmas everyone. The download link is now up!
whats the soundfont?
Here i see what you still didn't rebounded from such massive black project as 9k. Few art elements are still too heavy -.-
But that melody... I fockin love it! Congrats on 10k subs c:
The quality of these midis is amazing! It's not just a barrage of noise, it's actually pleasant to listen too and really melodic. Amazing work!
Years later and this is still stuck in my head. Fantastic arrangement.
This is one of the best black MIDIs I've ever heard. I tip my hat to you.
Nice Black MIDI man! :D
Q: Do you have any music study? Or your compositions are empirical?
Damn this some epic shit. Gratz on 10k!
Wait... am I the only one who hears part of "True Survivor" in the beginning?
Coincidence? Or is TSMB2 a sneaky Kung Fury fan?
I listen to this and I imagine a deadly battle between a mere mortal, and a god.
Chloroxite I'm thinking more of a human battling a MANIFESTation of Hell itself.
Congrats on 10k subscribers!
Also, my question for the Q&A: What has been the hardest black MIDI for you to make, and why?
Q: How much do you think you've improved at 'blacking' since you started?
When I first started listening to Black Midi I thought it was a very ugly genre of music. My tastes have changed since then, and this piece is a very beautiful song in disguise. I can tell a lot of work went into it. Good job.
Q: How do you actually go through the process of creating Black MIDI's? Seriously, you're just too good at this!! xD
finally something that i can enjoy on! also congratz on 10k bro!
I love how at 0:48, it sounds like vocals, like someone is humming or singing an opera.
That melody that I randomly choose every time in perfect piano because it shows random stuff
I'm so glad you hit 10,000! You deserve a lot more though.
so uh, im kinda new to this whole black midi thing and i got a few tiny questions
first of all, are all the notes displayed on screen audible or are there also muted notes purely intended for the pretty paterns? or does this depend on the artist
also, how are songs like these written, is it in a noteflight-style score editor or more like a flstudio pianoroll thing.
is the sound purely piano? or are there also different instruments and effects present?
finally my respect for what you put up here, i love the epic yet abstract sounds and ofcourse impressive scores
All the notes make sound, but some of the velocities are so quiet that it sounds as if they aren't making noise. But it is intended for the patterns. if those notes were at full volume, the MIDI would sound horrible.
I use FLstudio to make these black midis, as well as most others from the Black MIDI Community.
The sound is indeed purely piano.
And thank you for enjoying :)
Good stuff right here man!
Congratz! You deserve those 10k! :)
Nice edit right there!
Q: How do you come up with your melodies?
Congrats :) 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
niccceee.......
Q: did you studied music formally or self learner?
(ik i shouldnt be answering but anyway) as far as i know TSMB2 is a self learner.
TheDipperPinez27
i think he knew about music before he founded the bmt and bmc. because he first discovered black midi when he opened necrofantasia 166K in fl studio (which means he had to have fl studio for other reasons) and i'm sure if i could sat that he thought himself black midi because he was a poineer in the art.
Q: How long do black midi's take to make, and what keeps you motivated?
I love your midis, because all of them a very catchy=)
I told you I loved you in front of balck midi
Beautiful insanity
Last minute question, but
Q: How did you learn to make black midi?
These midis are amazing. Keep up the good work
Love it. Seriously, man, keep it up!
Although not as intense as 9K...
dat melody tho!
Great piece.
It’s awesome.:)
Q: Will you ever make MIDIs that are smaller and number in the hundred thousands? :P
MusiMasta where's the fun in that?
*****
do you realise how big 1 000 000 000 notes is? that's a BILLION. At least do 10 million first.
***** same... but I think that around 2 million allows for the best quality
the note count isn't important. just don't use note art and your midi will be good.
@@HDSQTN4: am I a joke to you?
Sounds like life.
woot woot
Wonderful work!
Q: Do you have any plans to synthesize your midi's like what you did with Pi? I find your midi's to have very nice melodies...
Braćala I love this song
Oh God you used all of the notes.
good job TheSuperMarioBros2
when not all of your 10 000 subscribers watch your 10 000 sub special

Q: Are you going to continue doing EDM side projects?
I've decided that for your Q&A video, you didn't mean THIS Christmas

Aleafbruh Bruhleafa I think the soundfont is Roland SC-55.
Very Strong Leaf
fruity lsd with extra reverb.
how does one even black midi.
Redstoner237 To start off, slam your head on the keyboard in different places for about 2 minutes. Then, edit from there.
RubremRex
no. your joke is unfunny and unoriginal.
TheGreatBambino
usually black midi is best made as a normal musical composition but in a "larger scale" meaning more tracks, more notes per tracks, and utilizes copy+paste to its fullest extent.
what specks u have on your computer I have a Late 2015 MacBookPro
what soundfont is that
Whaaaattt????? No 1Billion notes? Disappointed.
RadicalOne1912
