    Thanks for your explanation.
    this is still on the list, but this year I was in phuket. really want to come back as I enjoyed my stay and hope the government won't make cannabis illegal again. I liked the clean shops and supported them.

    After searching numerous videos, this was the most clear explanation for using the system. One question: I've heard that if you have a Visa card with a chip, it's possible to tap it to pay for fares as you enter a station. As you tap it to exit the system, it will calculate the fare. Is that correct?

      Thank you so much for your compliment! That definitely encourages us to make more info guide videos in the future 🥰 As for tapping Visa card, that works for MRT, which is the underground train system (not related to BTS). As far as I know, the Visa card needs to be a credit card with a chip.

    If I get it correctly, the BTS only have 3 lines? the rest are MRT?
    Is the Rabbit card usable for MRT line as well, OR is there a daily pass like the BTS?

    • @BangkokLifestyleUpdates
      @BangkokLifestyleUpdates  Місяць тому

      Good question! What makes things complicated is actually who owns and operates which line:
      The 3 skytrain lines mentioned in the video (Light Green, Dark Green, and Golden Lines) are all owned and operated by BTS. The two new skytrain lines (Yellow Line & Pink Line) are owned by MRT and operated by a joint venture with BTS, so Rabbit Card is accepted by Yellow Line and Pink Line.
      But the other MRT lines (Blue Line, Purple Line) are owned and operated by MRT, so Rabbit Card doesn't work for these two lines. MRT does not offer day passes now.
      *the owners and operators are not named BTS or MRT exactly but I will not go into details here to make things more confusing.

    You said the one-day pass is for BTS green line? Can the one- day pass use for all BTS station in Silom line, Shkhumvit and gold line?

    • @BangkokLifestyleUpdates
      @BangkokLifestyleUpdates  Місяць тому +1

      Sorry, I should've have been more specific. The one-day pass works for both light green line (Sukhumvit line) and the dark green line (Silom line), but not for the gold line.

    May I know can Rabbit' card also use on the new GOLD line or not? Because you hav missed up this point.

    • @BangkokLifestyleUpdates
      @BangkokLifestyleUpdates  9 днів тому +1

      Hi! It is implied that Rabbit card can be used on all BTS lines. The tricky part is that the one-day pass don't work for Gold Line. And because Dark Green Line and Gold Line cannot be interchanged inside the station, when you use Rabbit Card to transfer lines, you'll need to exit first and enter, and fees will be deducted two times for two lines. This rule also applies to single journey card, because you will need to purchase two single journey cards for two lines.

  • @primesasia

    because the gold line is own by Icon Siam group.

    Khop Khun Krap for the info, Dumb Question - Is there a card that does all Public Transport EG i get off the Plane grab my Bunny (rabbit) Card then grab the train to Hua Hin and top up accordingly when required use the said card for buses etc,, this would solve lining up for tickets thus stream lining the system. Perhaps i am dreaming?

    • @BangkokLifestyleUpdates
      @BangkokLifestyleUpdates  5 днів тому

      Hi Steve! It's not a dumb question at all. Unfortunately there is no such card that supports all public transport for Thailand or for Bangkok. Rabbit Card does work for some buses but not all of them. Since BTS, MRT, and the train system SRT belong to different companies and they don't share profit, you'll have to purchase tickets separately.

    Do we use the same ticket if our trip uses both green lines?

    • @BangkokLifestyleUpdates
      @BangkokLifestyleUpdates  Місяць тому

      Yes, the same ticket. When you purchase the ticket on the machine, you can just choose your final destination, and interchange inside the station, no need to go out.

    Hi i was wondering, if i purchase the One day pass card, can i use it on the Chao Phraya boat or not?

    • @BangkokLifestyleUpdates
      @BangkokLifestyleUpdates  15 днів тому

      Hey, sadly you cannot. The one day pass only works for BTS Sukhumvit Line and Silom Line (aka. the light green line and the dark green line)
