only listening this now because college let me close to insanity this week but highly disappoint with the vaccine talk, after the amount of people who died from covid-19 and not just that, the risk of getting out of your country to go play on the other side of the ocean and not getting the vaccine its just... im honestly sad with that, getting the vaccine its not only about protecting yourself, but everyone who is around you, its a collective effort to keep your community safe
i wish i had more to comment because i really like this channel and i like to comment good things about the episodes
hope you all are safe and good

Why should any laws exist by this logic? What about the social contract?

Dustin seems like a good guy. I like the ideas he said about changing perspective to look at challenges as opportunities rather be a victim.
But his take on vaccines is first year Econ student who watched some UA-cam libertarian hack channel level. If one does not want to take a vaccine for Covid at this point they are ignorant or selfish.
Vaccines provide protection against getting infected and decrease risk of severe illness and hospitalization and decrease the time of transmission.
I know I want a clear conscience that I will do what I can to prevent spread so I don’t transmit covid to someone that will lead to someone down the line will suffer from long hail covid or other needless suffering
I get the fear of govt overreach but there is nothing new about mandates the only new issue is a federal mandates during a pandemic.
Ultimately Dustin wants to play the noble victim by walking away from a job pretending he is defending freedom and rights. He is demanding a new set of rights and only for this vaccine. People used to laugh at the rich mothers who were woohoo against vaccines and now a bunch of people watch UA-camr and think it is a good idea.
I agree the war on drugs is a failure for a number of reasons the biggest is that substance abuse should be seen as a health issue and not a criminal issue.

@@jimwaxer8166 I could be a good guy :) - who knows when you make assumptions on someone you don't know personally but I've never made any takes on the vaccine being good/bad/wrong. My take is that governments shouldn't have the authority to dictate what you should put in your body in regards to your ability to participate in society. I agree 100% on your last point. Have a great day my brother

When people enter civil society they give up some individual rights.
The US Supreme Court has ruled on this and I agree with their reasoning. In the most relevant case Cambridge mandated vaccines for Chicken Pox.
In Jacobson v Massachusetts the Court held that the law was a legitimate exercise of the state's police power to protect the public health and safety of its citizens. Local boards of health determined when mandatory vaccinations were needed, thus making the requirement neither unreasonable nor arbitrarily imposed.
      I agree with the reasoning.
The liberty secured by the Constitution of the United States does not import an absolute right in each person to be at all times, and in all circumstances, wholly freed from restraint, nor is it an element in such liberty that one person, or a minority of persons residing in any community and enjoying the benefits of its local government, should have power to dominate the majority when supported in their action by the authority of the State.

@@dustinwatten8139 California requires students to have the following immunizations.
