👋 been bowling since mid January this year 54 years old. I had a hard time getting consistent revs and getting my thumb out clean. I tended to pull the ball from thumb sticking. Threw no thumb a few times just out of curiosity and now I’m dedicated to the switch. 11 games over the last 2 days and getting better with each game… fingers are a bit sore though 😂
LET’S GOOOOOOOO!!! This is the info I’ve been looking for!!! I can finally stop fine tuning my technique blindly. I love this!!! Thank you! Side note: I’ve been bowling one hand, no thumb since 2004 with lots of trial and error. This is the first time I’ve seen any solid info on this style of bowling and I’m here for it. Love y’all for making this available to everyone.
I truly appreciate this info. Looking forward to applying this knowledge and getting some lab work done. Thank you again for this info and actually showing us that it’s not theoretical.
@@coopergates9680 This is Awesome! The first guy uses the same two balls I do in the same exact order...LOL. I am 2 finger no thumb as well! Keep these coming!
@@jeremyt7409 When the USBC made the dumb move of eliminating balance holes I wasn't going to suddenly plug the thumbs of all the stuff I had lying around... so I went the Smallwood way. I miss backup balls with the index and middle finger
I love this, I've been a one handed thumbless bowler since 1990, I'm 60 years old and now buying 15 lb equipment to drill up, 16 lb starting to get heavy and my ball speed is dropping
Great info. I'm a new again bowler, I was having pain in my forearm from "gripping" to hard trying to hold onto my ball. Went back to no thumb recently and oh man am i having fun! More revs for these fancy new bowling bals!
Finally , I've been looking for thumbless bowling tips and tricks, plus if I had the honour to travel from Down Under to see the clean-up crew and coach baker.
its funny i went to get coached by mark baker this month. i started first 15 as a 1 hand no thumb by the end i was a 2 handed bowler. He didn't demand me to change my style but the reality is in the timing. timing as a one hander is waaaay harder to be consistent then when you are a 2 hander. now I just have to relearn accuracy.
When I first made the switch a couple years ago, I tried 2 hands first and it killed my back from getting a lot lower. Which made me switch to the no thumb one hand. You are correct though regarding consistency as it's one of my down falls if my timing is off slightly
Love the content Earl and Rich! Great informational video for me as a one hand no thumb bowler. Keep up the great work fellas! Shout out to Blake in the background. Ok I see you son lol
Man, this is really fire and very well needed. Just curious Earl what layout do you have on your harsh reality/eternity pi as they look the same. I just never gotten a short pin layout for the way we throw because I was told that usually two handers don’t get the layouts too close to the pin. But we’re technically not two handers and seeing how your ball reacts makes me think that I should actually try a Layout similar.
For the exact layout, I’m not too sure what the numbers are, but hit me on ig and I could show you where the pins and CG are to show your proshop to possibly replicate it for you👍🏽
Great video, I’m new to bowling and I find throwing with 2 fingers no thumb is the most comfortable for me. But is recently making my wrist hurt. Any tips or remedies for this? Any special wrist braces that work well for 2 finger bowlers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I’m a big guy 6’6” 290, and no matter how much I try to drift left with crossover etc, I always slide right just like big guy in this video. Any advice on correcting? Or just learn to play it?
I attempted this once, and ended up rupturing my bicep tendon. Didn’t bowl for over a year after that. What can I do to prevent that from happening again (other than bowling two fingers + thumb)?
Could you make a Comment if you should change the surface of an Urethane Ball? Because when I see the pros I dont really think that there Ball reads early.
Got a bunch of different rocks for different lane conditions and alleys, as of right now..the rotation is my eternity pi for the fresh oil, vebo for transition, lightning blackout for burnt. When it’s sports pattern, there’s a different lineup 🫡
1 hand no thumb crew where you at?! 🧹🧹🧹
sup homie! Nice video!
In the house! 🎳

The "big balls" usually don't suit our type of throw. There's a lot of stuff from even before the '90s that works

That tip about athlete mentality is golden.
I definitely been looking for this info I’m a two finger bowler
Thanks. I appreciate this being a one-handed, no thumb bowler. This is my go-to for all my tools and insights
Glad it was helpful!

Love this video. There are a few tips I will be trying next time I bowl. Thanks for the love to us no thumb one hand bowlers. Would love to see more 😊
You are so welcome! We will be making more no thumb content for sure. Myself (Pistol Pete) and Earl are both no thumb bowlers
@@TheCleanUpCrew300 awesome, looking forward to more future content. Keep up the great work 👍
Started bowling no thumb in the mid 1990s. Back at it after a 20+ year break.
Just starting to make the switch from thumb to no thumb. This is very helpful. Thanks 😊
Glad it helped!
Changing to no thumb/one hand right now at age 66. Should've done this years ago.
Dropping Gems 💎
Dont mind me just dropping a like and a comment for the algorithm
🧹🧹🧹
This is definitely helpful just trying to get more control when bowling with no thumb
Great video. This helps even you don’t bowl one handed no thumb
Glad it was helpful!

Fully suggest wrist tape! Also forearm workouts here and there really make a difference

It felt a little weird hitting the like button on this video 🚫👍🎳
Can you use a lighter ball for a higher back swing, higher Rev rate and speed?
Yes, physics tells us yes 😂
Ishould make video in send it to you for advice iuse this style too for around 6 years now iuse 16 and my speed is 29-28.5
I thought I was the used my pinky and ring finger only love to see it
Whats in earls arsenal?

@@TheCleanUpCrew300 BTW, you should try the pink widow for transistion. It works amazing for me, and I use an eternity pi just like you do!
No thumb nation
I just want to get rich so I can pay baker to teach me daily
