    First of all I'm just started to check you out man. Great advice. Great content. I'm going to keep on watching. I am 70 years old. Knee problems all kind of junk. What about me? A hammer nu not urethane bowling ball, I'm just in my 5th season I was bowling turbo had to get my arsenal together and my release together. I don't swing the far way behind me. I don't slide. I'm trying to be more accurate laying the ball down and rolling the ball not lofting the ball not coming around the ball I know sometimes I might have to to get the ball down the lane further. I basically like bowling standing left 25 or 30 coming across the 20th forward out to the 10th or just inside the 10th board. You know what I mean man. Thanks for the info. Appreciate it. Respond if you have time. I try to tell other boys that's been bowling for 20 and 40 years but they don't know. I found out what my My pap p positive access point. You know what I'm talking about. Some people have been bowling for 20 and 30 and 40 years and they don't know. I asked him they say they don't know. Found out that they just basically give you a basic layout pap layout when you going to the shop. Pro shop already told me I didn't really need all that done because I'm not in tournaments blah blah blah blah blah but I insisted it makes a difference. Am I right or wrong? Thank you. Have a nice day.

    So as a pinsetter technician or mechanic, I am going to stop you at 4:20 and tell you that, with modern lane machines your statement is very untrue. If the mechanic went to the back after oiling the lane and came back and "forgot if he did it" and re oiled the lane, the lane in fact would not have twice as much oil on it, because the lane machine is designed to CLEAN AND CONDITION the lane. When the lane machine is running, the front end of the machine strips the entire lane clean of any oil on it and the back of the machine lays a completely fresh pass of oil of the pattern selected. You would have to purposely go into the machine and choose "oil only setting" to oil the lane "twice."
    Overall enjoyed the main focus of the video and found it very informative.

    • @josephmarinucci9073
      @josephmarinucci9073 4 місяці тому +1

      I wondered whether running the machine twice would double oil. I appreciate the confirmation it would not. For the sake of the video, the story would have made more sense if the lane man parked the machine in front of a lane he had not oiled, got called away to tend to another matter, then came back and skipped oiling the lane thinking it was already done. That would have resulted in an unexpected difference for the league bowlers.

    • @MarkFehner
      @MarkFehner 4 місяці тому

      @josephmarinucci9073 depends on the situation and if the machine timed out. I don't clear the pindecks when I oil so if I would have seen standing pins that would indicate I didn't oil it. And again, if your unsure, no harm in doing it again.

    Biggest for me after a few months is make the 10 pin your friend! Something else i love which im nobody but the "just because you left a 10 pin doesn't mean you need to instantly fix it". If you are hitting the pocket your chances of striking go up.
    Extra ironic as i said if i got 9 spare every frame my average would drastically improve a few weeks ago!

    Nah the fear of God doesn't hit when my ball doesn't hook. It's when I make a 2-1 and slow my speed down about 1.5 mph and my ball goes brooklyn when I start getting a bit afraid. Well, that is unti I pick my speed back up and either ball down or loft to make the ball read better down lane. If that doesn't work... Plastic up 5 bc this doesn't happen on anything except week old .3 ml bowlero house shots

  • @JAW_73

    First guy, are you not supposed to be counting all your steps? You are starting with your wrong foot for a 4 step approach.. You should be counting 5, or start counting on your 2nd step with your right foot.
