This is basically what I would want to build myself a vanlife / mobile house. Good chassis with auto leveling, large space to work with, and a empty slate to built it as my own.
This possibly could have been a nice project for a person/shop with RV restoration/conversion resources/connections. The extensive fire damage warrants a full teardown/inspection from top/down/front/back (too many unknowns). Good call to pass this one along.
1:45 not surprising the mattress was still clean, I've seen hundreds of house fires where the interior was blackened and gutted like your motor home, but any bedrooms or bathrooms with closed doors were protected from heat and smoke damage, walking in, you'd never know the rest of the house was a charred ruin. Closing doors behind you can help save personal items in case of a fire
Since you guys are willing to work with burnt Rvs you might want to invest in a "sand blaster" that uses dry ice. I saw it used on This Old House on an attic to clean up the wood structure, I was amazed on what great job it did with very little damage to the wood. The dry ice evaporates so it is not like having grit that you have clean up. I think it would make it easier to sell with the charred wood gone. I would guess you would need to use a lower setting on the interior of the rv. I enjoy watching you guys, I live in the Charleston area. I am guessing the cars you buy and fix up all have salvage titles. Where are you guys grow up I am trying to figure out your accents, I am from up north so everyody down here sounds different from where I am from but you sound like you both did not grow up in the same area. Good Luck.
Hey Mike, YT visited a dedicated RV junk yard that had a load of these, as you could probably buy interior pieces for this. as for those slide out sections, are they a standard generic size, that could removed from a different brand RV maybe? maybe a junkyard could sell you one with the electric motors and mechanical pieces.
@@sanfranciscobay they’re in a special position, though. If they make good content, they get more views and more revenue. Their Timelapse repair videos are some of their best, and I imagine one on an RV would do really well

Thanks guys for sharing the latest with the RV. You have to think it over if it is worth investing to restore it, or is it better to sell it as is? The numbers are not deceiving.👍
If you can sell the parts from it, then you also still have parts left that you can use for a other build. Just pull that massive engine out, and drive over it with something that would be so fun lol.(when you got the good parts out)
Question, looking at the inside there seemed to be a lot of heat from the fire. You being the professional you are, what do you think it did to the fiberglass shell.
Michael, 'the mattresses is still white ' well mostly Michael and that is crazy. I wouldn't want to sleep on it though. 😁 I think it is the right decision to sell it as it is, a blank canvas for someone to do whatever they want with it. It is far too much work to rebuild and could be expensive for the parts. Have a great weekend Brothers and thanks for sharing the video.👍👍
I once bought a trailer caravan which had suffered a fridge fire. A pal suggested I paint the interior with white emulsion paint. Looked much better and ready for refurb. Had it reupholstered and bought all the bits. Then I won a car in a raffle so sold it for what it owed me.
Rebuilding the interior is one thing no problem but complete rewire of the r.v. is another some of these have 2 miles of wires to rewire. Insane! Parts for sure.
Nice job to gutter out a lot of work for sure. Time to sell and move to the next project, the chassis, motor and generator are worth good money to recover your investment and get some profit, up to you Niko brothers. Good video. Take care thanks 😊
I just want to let you know that here in Alabama, there are RV parts/junkyard hoping you guys might have that in your state. In UA-cam, there are people transforming ex-U-Hauls into personal RVs. Check it out, you never know you might get your RV restored in a budget matter.
If you're actually considering rebuilding this RV then you're lucky it's Winnebago. Winnebago makes 80% of their own parts, Including the furniture. And if they don't have your part in stock they have the pattern to remake it, right down to the color. You can always cut the middle out and make it a cool toy hauler 🤣
Amazed how well built the Winnebago is. Here in UK rv’s are constructed for lightness and fall to bits in a breeze. Gas in USA is half what we pay. Used to be a third.
Hi fellas, there must be coach builder/ carpenters out there that do that sort of internal work and the parts are readily available why not get a price and if you can still make a good profit that'll be the way to go ( and of course give other trades a pay day) but if all else fails then part it out, its win win for you guys, Keep up the good work love the show Russ from Endland
