Another fantastic video ! Have you heard anything about air source mini split heat pumps that connect directly to solar panels to supply some or all of the power needed to run them?

Thank you, Ronnie! 🙏 Yes, I've heard of that.I think, ideally you look at the whole house. On the other hand it is typically easier to do one step at a time to make changes as easy as possible. So, I think the mini splits connected to solar panels are a great way to do it. What do you think about that? 😃

@UpHeat the one's that I have seen are very d I y friendly, so I believe that they could be a great option for someone with a limited budget to reduce their carbon footprint as well as their expenses 🌐

    Thanks for the video.
Li-Ion is not the best home battery choice, LiFePo4 are better and safer with a great number of charge cycles. The person talking about L/A is wrong, at this point we do know how well LiFePo4 batteries last and work and Lithium batteries can sustain lower discharge cycles than L/A which you never want to discharge lower than 50%.

Hi @mosfet500, Thanks for sharing. LiFePo4 is a type of lithium-ion battery. Sometimes when referred to lithium-ion batteries, what is actually meant is NMC, Lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxides, which are commonly used in lithium-ion batteries for mobile devices and electric vehicles. When I say lithium-ion, I mean all all types of lithium-ion batteries and not just NMC. It's a good point that it can help to be more specific. However, that might be a bit too deep of a level of granularity for this topic in this timeframe. Hope this helps. Thanks again, Katha

Hi Joseph, Thank you for leaving a comment. I take it as a compliment. Much appreciated. I hope most people don't have a hard time focusing on what I'm saying, though. 😂 Have a great week, Katha
