Thank you so much, Katy! I have fermented cucumbers and sauerkraut before. I love pickled okra so, I'm definitely going to try this!

Thank you. I am new to this and anxious to try it. Your instructions were clear and easy to follow. I guess you know if it is finished fermenting at the end of the week by tasting it. Thank you!

You're welcome. Yes, ferment to taste and the bubbles will slow down.

I ferment everything and I love to eat them. I use only 1 tbs of salt per quart/liter as my mom used. I also drink the brine at the end.

That's excellent!! I think the brine is the best kept secret!

Why pickling salt from ths asian market? I have used different kinds of natural salts for fermentation (celtic, pink, etc) but never pickling. I do cook a lot of asian food and have some baked salt from the korean store. Im just curious the type of salt you are using and you do it because of the specific mineral content or if theres an added agent/compound in there that helps in the fermentation? Thanks for the informative video! Excited to try this!❤

Pickling salt is higher in Calcium Chloride. It's a different salt formula. Keep fermenting!

Great fined for me. is the okra slimy after fermentation as like after cooking? picking salt vs table salt? Is there a possibility of jars exploding while fermenting?

Yes, okra is always slimy 😆 pickling salt 🧂 I'm sure they could explode that's why they say to leave the lid loose so the gas can escape. Enjoy!
