i have some $50+ p/ string ( yellow weave ends) G& D & sure they're much easier on the hands for slapping,(not gr8 Arco) then the Spirocores E& A but it's an 'Uneven' set i realize.. tuning is dodgy , i need to get some good pizz/ slap, Gut -like hybreds that won't break me more cost wise... you're great player dude!
This strings is very soft but It is likely to be a blisters.
Surface of the string is coarse.
very soft strings equates less roughness to the sides of my fingers & callous build-up?? :)
How is the tension compared to the pressto Ultralight that you play in other video?
I has a question. Are nylon strings still good to use with a bow ? would it not effect the sound in any way?
Love the mellow tone. However, they don't seem to have the punchiness of metal strings. That's not necessarily a bad thing though, just different...

All of the Selmer Tololoche Contra bajo string packs say that the strings are for C G D A tuning but you are obviously in normal E A D G so what gives ? Thanks I would like to get the ones that work on your bass. Thanks John

My setting is EADG tuning. Therefore string tension is lowered, touch is very soft.
It was extended by devising a D string.

They sound better than the "Weed Wackers" I think . Closer to gut .Do you agree ? Still amazed that they can still work for EADG since they were not intended for that . Looks like you're onto something dude. Thanks again. Hope I can get some -will save my older hands for slapping .

Raw sound of this chord in EADG setting is the volume is small.
Preamp is essential.
Sound quality of Raw sound is not analogous to gut strings.
I wish as best strings for you will find!
I have not used a bow for this string..

This is amplified or no?
I bought the set and like them but since they are GADE the lowest string will not tune to a usable pitch in E so... did you cheat and use a 2nd 'D' string from another set to get a usable "E" ? I don't see any other way . The G (E) tension is about normal for a gut G. the D (A) and A (D) are cool but on the loose side. The E (G) ain't close to happenin. That said I don't regret buying them. Prolly the same compositional formula for the Guitarron .
