I'll take the memory of opening for this band in my hometown to my very grave. I was a fan for 16 years and they finally came to our islands and we completely blew the roof off of the venue with the best set and performances of our lives. The guitars are TERRIBLE!!! NO TALENT!! The guy plays 3 or 4 chords and just strums those chords!! Extremely easy!!! I've been playing for over 25 years, and I'm light years better than these demonic jackasses!
The instrumentation is good and all but the vocalist is just simply amazing. His diction is great and you can understand him immediately on just first listen while still maintaining the br00tal vocals.

I think too few metalheads will openly admit this problem with the genre (for fear they won't look truly "kvlt" or something), many bands have poor clear pronunciation and you either need multiple listens or a damn lyric sheet to figure out what's being said (I've been listening to metal for 25-years and this is still the case). It's always nice to find a band that has awesome vocals and is clear.

One of the most popular songs currently, Safaera from the reggaetoner Bady Bunny literally says: "If your boyfriend doesnt lick your asshole, tell him to fuck off" Black Metal has prettier lyrics and Im ok with that.
I liked the song structure, it was way better than your generic black metal formula, lots of nice subtleties. Heljarmadr vocals are amazing, very discernible. Also great guitar tone, very crisp and cutting.

my cd arrived and it is ok. doesn't seem to have the heaviness of previous releases, but has the speed. Vocalist does a decent job. 6 out of 10. A few more listens should get me into it. I am loving the drums.
I agree. I have been listening to the album since it's came out, and I think the second half of the album is not very good. I thought listening more to it will make me come around, but I have already moved on to other stuff. The album is good but not great.

I liked the song structure, it was way better than your generic black metal formula, lots of nice subtleties. Heljarmadr vocals are amazing, very discernible. Also great guitar tone, very crisp and cutting.

my cd arrived and it is ok. doesn't seem to have the heaviness of previous releases, but has the speed. Vocalist does a decent job. 6 out of 10. A few more listens should get me into it. I am loving the drums.
I agree. I have been listening to the album since it's came out, and I think the second half of the album is not very good. I thought listening more to it will make me come around, but I have already moved on to other stuff. The album is good but not great.
