David; an outstanding video. Absolutely superb. Am dying to visit Bukkenburg. Who knows if I'll ever get to Cape Town again. It would be a wonderful drive up. I live in Burlington Vermont. My partner comes up every summer from NJ and I was lucky to find the UVM pottery studio for her. It's closed in the summer and only a few experienced potters can use it. Cone 10. I make hand built boxes. Absolutely love it. We had a summer houses in North Hatley Quebec that was a huge pottery hub in the 1960's many of the Japanese potters flew over to hold workshops. It's all changed now of course. Warm wishes, Linda (I grew up with Kenny Levine).

THANK you for this tutorial. Going big is always risky, and it's delightful to watch another potter do this.

Thank you for sharing this art. I really enjoyed watching it. Pottery has some secret in it. It is copmosed of the main elements of life: water, earth, air, fire and love.

Most people buy a vase. And use it for looks. I think this vase is what people really need. People need vases any where between 1 to 4 ft tall, that you can store food, clothing, and water. Some times they need lids. I think that is the better market of vases to look for. Open website please to sale this vase.

Big pieces are hard to find but are so useful for many things.

Beautiful work and fantastic skills! I wonder if the handles are strong enough to handle the weight of the pot?

Fucking smart to use the flame. You don't have to wait a day for it to firm up and keep working to finish quicker.

gotta think like a woman hehehe. Beauty take precedence over function. 2 words, " High heels " prob the least functional shoe ever created, but women go bazerks over them lol

It would still be easier for multiple people to carry it, if it has handles...
