One-Piece Origami Shuriken Ninja Star Tutorial

- In this video, I show how to fold a model that looks exactly like the traditional two-piece Ninja Star, but is from just one sheet! I designed this myself (twice!), but after looking on the internet, I found that the same model has been designed independently by at least four other origamists -- Jun Yamada, Shinji Sasade, Keiichi Kozasa, and Hideo Komatzu -- which points to the possibility that designing it is a joint knee-jerk response by some one-piece folders when they see the two-piece Ninja Star.

@TheCoffeeblue Ya, but isn't the process important too? I'm mean, wouldn't it be simpler to just cut a throwing star out of cardboard? But instead we like to fold... and so the process of folding - not just it's final appearance - contributes dearly to the value of the model. Personally, I find folding from one square no cuts more aesthetic, more pleasing, but that's just me.

Sweet! These may take 3x as long to fold, but if you make them out of Aluminium foil, they are a more balanced throwing star!.

@secondlifeundergroun Hmm.... Perhaps, try using a larger piece of paper, and crease very carefully. Imagine it's a video game and you have to get past the twist in order to advance to the next level.
